If you breed anything that has the same bad traits it will come out twice as bed but if it is good traits it will do the same thing

I inbred two awful Flemish once and got a doe that won best in show and had 24 legs lol

Well that might not be good I do a lot of line breed the older thing I ain't tried is full brother and sisters

In like 95% cases ya, pretty much. There is that like 5% chance though, depending on lineage, that they will coke out beautiful. That's why, as tedious as they are, pedigrees and record keeping is so important

So…I am keeping two female kits from my current litter to grow my rabitry. My breeding scheme will be father to daughter. I strictly raise New Zealand Reds for meat. Everything I have read and studied tells me this is safe for multiple generations. Their mother is amazing: big litters 7-8 kits every time, amazing mother, amazing kits. I am hopeful she has passed on these characteristics on to her daughters. I also don’t want to add a new buck. My current buck is young, calm, and makes good kits. So….gonna try a few rounds of line breeding and see how it goes.
