Yes, they can be very destructive. I’ve seen rabbits under the hoods of vehicles eating the wires. Just the other day I was changing the air filter on a truck and at first I thought that it was a really dirty air filter when I pulled the tubing back but nope, it was a rabbit. It would’ve had to jump up on the tire then snake it’s way through the pipe leading to the air filter.

Just to help people out, and since I'm an Englishwoman, I'd like to offer the following translation: 'hood' in English English is a folding roof for a car; 'hood' in American English is the cover of a motor-car engine, which is called is called a bonnet in English English. I take it that the chap is referring to the latter definition of 'hood' in his post. Moreover, 'tire', as regards a rubber ring round a wheel rim, is the American English spelling of tyre, which is the English English spelling. Hope this was of interest. ❤xx

Rabbits can do a surprising amount of damage, and they frequently thrive in predator-less human made ecosystems. The old school methods of hunting with animals are really cool. When i was younger the rabbits in my area were so out of hand they were eating painted siding on my families house.
