Part of this story really hit home with me. I'll be losing my dad any day now to stage 4 prostate cancer. We're a car and bike family so we have a lot of stuff. Yesterday my dad with tears in his eyes reached up from his hospital bed and gave me the keys to his Screaming Eagle soft tail. It's the perfect bike if you like a black and chrome. 88 inch evo, baker 6, Dyna convertible front end with a 21 front. Mini apes, its classy. Like my dad. I drug it back home to New orleans from Mississippi and I can't even open the door to my trailer. It tears my heart out of my chest. My wife left of 5 years left me on thanksgiving of last year because she couldn't handle the stress of me being back and forth to the hospital so much. We rode this bike on our honey moon. It was kinda like a wedding present form dad. "Take my harley and treat that lady right" said my pops. So i did just that. Now, Im all alone in new orleans with a beautiful harley i can't look at and an old Chevy truck I can't use because that was dads too. Some times when you keep a vehicle long enough it becomes part of the family as well. So for me, this is a good story, and it has me a bit misty eyed, but thank you for sharing Rob.

I know people that survived stage 4 cancer. My Aunt is a survivor. She literally shouldn't be here, it's a miracle. So don't give up, stay strong. By the way, your wife leaving you, she didn't really love you. I know how stressful it is & what it does with family. Only the ones that love you stay close. Keep fighting with your dad, I hope a miracle happens.

There was a racer from my old home town in Mississippi named Terri Hayes that had a sex change and continued racing as Teresa Hayes. It takes all types to make the world go round. Kinda sucks that back then everyone in our small town made her feel so uncomfortable that she left town.
