Rabea is one of the top guitarists in the world. In terms of making real music, with real virtuosity, he's on par with Nuno and George Lynch. I've waited years to see another genius like this. For example, working chords in to a solo--and pulling it off--he is truly bad ass.

I feel like we've not yet seen Bea reveal the true extent of his power, but for once that's not too exaggerated of a comment. Bea is fucking tasty and could certainly jam with Nuno without losing any face at all (Lynch would need reconstructive surgery)

It's so refreshing to listen to musicians who use music to express their emotions, not just to play meaninglessly. Too many guitarists just play licks up and down the neck but never really have anything to convey. The playing often just sounds emotionless and similar. Then we have you guys who instantly connect with what you are playing. That's what separates good from great, and skilled from talented! Keep it up!

Can tell Rab and Dave really focused on building groove through their strumming hands. A lot of guitar players today ride off their technical hand, but lose all the soul and groove that the strumming hand. I remember only liking heavy bands like Korn and Pantera, and Fieldy from Korn told me to build the strumming hand up, and that's where all the funk and groove come from. Recommended to learn whatever songs I was learning with just strumming and no 2nd hand to lead. Changed the game. i am sure these guys did similar practices in early or later years too.

what does one have to learn/practice in order to jam like this?
@spacejazz62728 жыл бұрын
just learn scales and lots of music theory, and practice playing with other people
@lavbas21078 жыл бұрын
Stephen Barlow I started to look more into theory but it's really hard/boring to learn unless I incorporate them with some sort of musical ideas, any advice?
@spacejazz62728 жыл бұрын
Vu Le theory without context is quite boring and so incoperating it with musical ideas is a really good way to learn it, maybe ask your teacher for more lessons on theory as they will know what you want to learn and how to teach it (or maybe get yourself a teacher if you don't have one) Bottom line is, theory is the less glamourus side of music but something that is so nessecary to being good. If you really really want to be able to jam like these guys than you're gonna have slog through the boring and hard stuff because I'm 100% certain these guys had to do that as well
@lavbas21078 жыл бұрын
Stephen Barlow much appreciated
@HADESHELLFIREMUSIC8 жыл бұрын
+Stephen Barlow I dare say you are quite incorrect sir, theory is good to have and know, but I'm 18 years old and have been in a live playing band for a year now, I knew a couple scales than from there linked everything I knew and learnt just how to stay in key, other than that just jamming and using your ear to create your own sound is the way I go about and many musician's over the year's but that is just my opinion
