Thank you so much for the encouragement here with the new video series. Obviously I’ll be carrying on with playing stuff, maybe some tips vids, and some demos of gear. But I just wanted to do something fun, and connect a bit more with you guys, sharing music! I think for this series I’d love to see both bands and Musician performances, a bit of everything really. Love a good drum video, as much as guitar! Live sessions, crazy insane players... ANYTHING! Please keep them coming and thank you, guys!

Rabs, please go down the Spiritbox rabbit hole. Their music is awesome and you asked for the more "melodic" inputs, trust me you'll get them in any other of their songs. This song was made more as a joke and the only song without soft parts. If I may suggest something I think is right up your sleeve then react/ listen to their three part studio version of the Mara effect, I swear if you don't love it I'll eat my sock! Love this new thing on your channel!

The original song is in Drop F# with pitch-shifts to a low F, E, and D# right before & during the breakdown :) their song Blessed Be is in Drop F with a pitch-shift to Double Drop C (Drop C1) during the breakdown. Mike uses a multiscale Aristides 070 with the pitch-shifts triggered by midi sent into a Kemper.

If you listen to some of their other tracks like "Blessed Be" they're more melodic, this song is just a pure filth fest though. I'd love to hear your take on "Rolo Tomassi - Stage Knives" while we're on a female led rock/metal vibe.

That was fun! I enjoyed that alot man. I'm glad that you checked out and that you enjoyed listening to Spiritbox! Nice riff breakdown after your main reaction, that was awesome to see! Mike, the guitarist and husband of Courtney, also does flawless guitar playthroughs on their official channel! I would love to see you react to their song "Rule of Nines" because you mentioned that you loved to have some more melody instead of only heavy filthy riffs. And guess what? Spiritbox can just deliver that to you aswell! They got so much variety within their own groovy style and I'm 100% sure that you gonna like it. Holy Roller actually is their heaviest song so far, in general I would describe their music more like a perfect mix of beautiful melody and nasty, groovy riffs. Courtney also has an incredibly beautiful singing voice! If you want something real catchy, beautiful and even more melodic than "Rule of Nines", their song "Blessed Be" would be the way to go. Would be awesome to see you diving deeper into their stuff - you won't regret! Cheers!

2 things, that main riff is played lower on each repeat (baring the last one), and that is an awesome detail I don't think I've heard a reaction channel notice yet! I like this idea a lot dude, especially the "lets learn the main riff" segment. Super sick, I hope more people pick up on this. Learning other peoples riffs that you really enjoy/inspire you, even if its not the full song, is a huge part of forming your own style and getting better as a songwriter so it's cool to see you break this riff down since I don't anything I can tune down that low haha
