their shacks were demolished today. Johannesburg ANC's Fred Mokoko, DA
Joburg caucus leader Belinda Kayser-Echeozonjoku and EFF Johannesburg
chairperson Sepetlele Raseruthe discuss this.

This thing of people moving from Limpopo to build shacks in Johannesburg must come to an end. Limpopo people must focus on farming and sell food to people in the city, they must stop behaving like zimbabweans by running away from their land.

That's a lazy way of thinking. If you are South African the whole of South Africa is your land. Besides majority of the people in Johannesburg come from other provinces to work. Stop thinking Johannesburg is yours alone. But you're right people must not just put up shacks wherever they feel like. We already have these things they have been hijacked. People need to evicted from the flats and from the existing industrial arears that have been turned into squatter camps. We should not waste money by buliding more of whats already there.
