That's absolutely correct! Even if the environmental conditions are optimal for the rabies virus, if it doesn't have access to nerve tissue, it will still lose its infectivity within seconds. The rabies virus is highly dependent on nerve tissue to survive and replicate, and without it, the virus is unable to maintain its structural integrity and functional activity. This means that even if the virus is in a favorable environment, such as the right temperature and humidity, it will still become non-infective rapidly if it doesn't have access to nerve tissue. So, to summarize: - Optimal environmental conditions are not enough to keep the rabies virus infective. - The virus requires nerve tissue to survive and replicate. - Without nerve tissue, the virus becomes non-infective within seconds, even in optimal environmental conditions. 1)Sir if there is a very small wound where skin is broken and blood may have come out but the wound is small but not deep just the upper layer of skin is cut out what category would it be? 2)The incident happened with me on 19th Jan and i started 5 dosage vaccination without immunoglobulin on 22th Jan.I have previously took 3 doses in 2021 and 2 in 2023 am I safe or not. 1.अगर नाखूनों में virus लग गया है तो वो virus नाख़ून से नहीं फैलेगा । ये बात बिलकुल सही है। wo case jahan pe rabid dog aapke upar kuda lekin teeth se bite nahi kar saka. lekin uss dauran agar dog ka claws/nails muh se gujarta hua skin pe scratch kar de to within seconds rabies virus transmit ho jayega. such cases are rare but are on record . 2.This topic requires one on one discussion as lots of loopholes are there with this protocol which was given in 2018 by WHO Position Paper. today in 2024 still we are blindly following the same whereas NRCP clearly mentions IRRESPECTIVE of TIME PERIOD. Above all CDC says - re exposure prophylaxis is required in all of them who test positive 0.5IU/ml neutralising antibodies. Now, the question arises - since the neutralising antibodies peak at 14th day of completion of ARV... first - if you have completed ARV yesterday, and again fresh bite occurs today then what? your neutralising antibodies have not yet reached a peak (it peaks after 14 days). should you go for re vaccination?????? second - in case of fresh bite on 30th day or 98th day, the neutralising antibodies will remain more than 0.5IU/ml then why on 98th day vaccination is required and not on 30th day (according to WHO). even after 3 years the antibodies will remain more than 0.5 IU/ml then why 90 days cut off is there. It makes no sense at all. That's why CDC considers RE EXPOSURE PROPHYLAXIS in all of them who measures more than 0.5IU/ml and FULL COURSE in them who measures less than 0.5IU/ml. There is no time gap formula at all. I hope it helps🙏🏻

Full course of ARV usually provide protective antibodies for 5 to 21 years these types of cases are very complex. Making decision sometimes become very tough . Two school of thoughts are there for such cases- first - ARV should not be given for next 90 days. second - ARV should be given irrespective of the time gap. so please 🙏🏻 get yourself physically examined by your doctor and let him decide. नमस्ते सर मेने अपना arv ka 0,3 डे पर इंट्रामस्कुलर 1ml लगवाया उसके बाद तीसरा डोज 0.5ml ही डोस नर्स ने मुझे इंट्रमस्कुलर दिया, बोलने पर बोली इतना ही जरूरत है, तीन दिन बाद मेने फिर से 1 डोज arv ka 1ml इंट्रामस्कुलर लगवा लिया, अगला डोस 15 वा दिन ले पाया, फिर आखरी डोस लेने में 28 दिन के बजाय 32वे दिन ले पाया 4 दिनों की देरी हो गई, लास्ट डोस के अगले दिन फिर से मुझे डॉग ने मेरे में कटे हुए जगह पर चाट लिया अब सर में कंफ्यूज हू क्या मेरी वैसिनेशन सही हुआ या नहीं, और क्या मुझे बूस्टार डोज लेना होगा या पूरा, जबकि मेरा आखरी डोज के अगले दिन ही डॉग ने चाट लिया है , कुल मेने 6 डोज लिया 0.5ml ko मिला के, आपका मदद चाहिए कृप्या जानकारी

Not all dog bites are rabbies bite and not all dogs have rabbies specially the new born puppies born in the winter months like 3 months back and if they encounter with any rabbies dogs they don't have any immunity developed as they are young and small they will die for sure in the 8-10 days mark after transfer if they have so?? Please exlain??

Sir I had completed full Doses of rabies vaccine in 2015. Yesterday I got a type 2 cut from a 2 monthes old unvaccined puppy.The cut did not bleed but became a bit red. While I was wasing the cut I got a burning sensation and vein became appropriate. lf rabies vaccine is kept out of refrigerator for 30 min is it still effective? A pet dog scratched me with its nail with very very negligible amount of blood visible. I started the vaccination. On the day of my 3rd dose the pharmacist kept the vaccine out of fridge for around 30 min before reconstitution . Because he was attending some other patients.Total I've completed 5 dose.So is there any issue ? sir on 19 Jan a dog was running behind me on scooty,i felt a pinch for 1-2 seconds next day I checked I saw redness there and ak bohot chota sa ghav tha jisme skin ki upper layer kat gai thi but deep ni tha oor bohot chota tha ab wo heel hogya ha scar ha.I started vaccination on 22nd Janand on that day i saw a scratch on my leg on different side that was little big but looked like a scratch that had a crotch on it .I had taken my first dose on 22nd Jan and today was my 4th dose i didn't took immunoglobulin but had taken 3 doses in 2021 and 3 in 2023 too but on day (0,3,7).I don't know about dog as I didn't see him at night.Should I feel safe and what should I do.I am thinking too much. Sir i have completed my rabies vaccine re exposure booster dose a week before. Now yesterday when i was parking my motorcycle a dog was laying near my right leg. And suddenly he started barking near me. But i can't experience any type of bite. I can't feel any pain of bite. But when i reached home i saw a small cut on my left side of right leg.
