Sir CDC has two different information's 1.rabies can't be transmitted through contaminated objects such as cloths 2. Rabies virus non infectious when completely dry That means can it transmitted from object before dry Which is correct

Sir, I had been scratched by a cat in Indonesia on 7th Jan, 2025. It was more like it dug its paws in my leg, the skin wasnt broken, no bleeding also there was just burning sensation. I had also pet the same cat, the cat had licked its fur and i pet the cat and eat some biscuits with the same hand without washing my hands. Now on 8th Jan i got my vaccination there, they only provide 1 vaccination in case of low risk bite. It was given intramascular, but on both arms deltoid region Now after my return i decided to restart my course and take all the five starting from 16th Jan But the doctor give me injection below the deltoid region, now im worried, do i need to restart the course again by repeating the dose of should i continue to take the rest of the doses on the deltoid area carefully. Kindly guide sir. Today is day 9, the cat is fine, it had bite marks on its neck hence i am worried, the cat was also unvaccinated.

these types of cases are very complex. Making decision sometimes become very tough . Two school of thoughts are there for such cases- first - ARV should not be given for next 90 days. second - ARV should be given irrespective of the time gap. WHO - in 2018 proposed 3months concept. As i explained you in my previous comment that i saved a puppy and in the doubt that that puppy gave scratch after 2 months i took ARV of 0,3,7 (2 injection each on single arm on day 0 , on day 3 single injection in arm and on day 7 single injection in arm). I don't know why they gave me only 0,3,7 ARV and sir how long i am protected against rabies with these with ARV of 0,3,7 I am totally scared of rabies right now unable to focus on college studies and i am scared go outside of my room I even skipped going outside for college sometimes Please tell me sir how long i am protected against rabies with ARV of 0,3,7 and when i asked their nurse they didn't tell anything correctly and she said maybe 3 months please clarify sir 😢 When should get ARV or booster again to get protected for a long time Please reply sir

0 3 7 remains incomplete. it has got no long term protective effect. for long term protection full course should be taken. Full course of ARV usually provide protective antibodies for 5 to 21 years. Since you have taken only three dosage in case of fresh bite, you have to go for full course again . However, for those people who have completed their course and get fresh bite, they have to get only two doses as re-exposure. Sir one doubt one neighbour dog good and healthy after few days one stray dog bites that healthy dog after bitting stray dog died of rabies but that healthy dog is still alive may be it will take some months to appear rabies symptoms for that dog in between if that dog bites human then is it possible to get rabies to that person as he doesn't take any vaccine i mean the incubation period of that dog before showing symptoms of rabies did it bite someone then that person have to take vaccine r not even after 20days still that dog is alive pls reply n explain sir

Sir, by taking your attention of your valuable time, i have a query that a stray cat bitten me twice at several days, the incidents were about today and 2 days ago, but the point is the cat didn't hurt me.
