i am a scoutmain and thats what you do if there is no major fight,the medic can just witch to you then switch again if the medic is a pro but if theres a fight then dont be an asshole and scream at the medic go to the nearest pack and if no one needs it go,not sure if your statement is correct or not

There's a technique to scout, you won't survive in open gunfights, you're more powerful in hallways pinning down single players at close range with the scattergun, you also have an advantage because you're faster than them, you can lead them to certain areas then turn a corner and quickly nail them from behind, almost like what spies will try to do, there are some videos which really helped me. Also most Demomen, Spies and Snipers are powerless against you at close range, while Heavies and Pyros are considerably more dangerous to you as a Scout, they're your natural predators, so caution is advised. I used to be a terrible scout, I was like a bullet magnet but now I'm capable of killing the entire enemy team as a scout. I recommend Toofty's 10 tips for Scout. Scout is pretty OP when you figure out how to use his abilities properly

Use Mad Milk, it heals you and teammates if you attack players who’ve been Milked.

Try to get behind the enemy lines. And your primary target are medics, snipers, and demos. Kill people who are retreating since they will be easy targets

Scout wasn't design for defending so you lose as red team.

That doesn't really make sense. Sure, Scout isn't generalist, but you saw several kills done by the Scout and him not dying. It's probably just because blue team generally has the advantage
