This means a lot to hear a non-Aussie say this. You watch F1 mate? Unfortunately despite living in Australia and loving cars since a very young age, I never got into Supercars until last year. But I’ve been watching F1 since the start of the hybrid era.

@@squalidseal6126 I did for many years mate but I'm the opposite, I stopped feeling it at the start of the hybrid era, the noise was muted and the eco outlook also put me off. Then Lewis giving it large over BLM finished it off for me 😢

@@jamiepile2861 I don’t mind the BLM stuff, I’m all for it, but yes, he’s a bit excessive with it. I’m fully addicted to F1, so I don’t think anything will change me ever watching it now. But that sound pre-hybrid era was beyond sexy, I really hope with the new engines in 2026 they try to gain the sound back.

@@squalidseal6126 Mate! I started watching F1 regularly in 1998 (I was 13) proper racing with proper cars! 3.0ltr V10's bud! NOTHING screams like a V10 F1 engine! Plus you didn't get a drive through for nudging one of Lewis's braids out of position 🤣 Type in old F1 and you'll see and hear the difference, not technically as fast as today but it was less about downforce then, it was more aerodynamics and plain old grunt 😎 I watch sports car racing now, I haven't watched an F1 race at all for 3 year's. My issue with BLM is the misguided militant nature of it, I'm not opening that can of worms but let's just say a lot of the facts get ignored to suit the agenda.

@@squalidseal6126 I didn't miss a single race or quali session for about 18/19 year's, the hybrid era is when my interest began to wain then Hamilton and his politics along with the constant mask wearing in every scenario turned me off completely.

Pardon my ignorance , a British viewer here , was this international thing only a single/very few seasons? I love seeing all the different manufacturers racing in the v8 supercars spec I wish this was more common to see , than the Ford , Holden thing all the time which is good in is own way.

makes nazzcar look like the fake wrestling show that it is. these look like real cars with lights, doors, mirrors, turn signals, and chrome trim bits. nazzcar has decals for lights and the hard to find 2 door camry. i watch every supercar event live on a superview subscription. the only racing i would ever pay to see.
