Can't believe no comments here. Pretty honest historical approach. We can't get past slavery of the time but interesting to know what else was going on.

This lecture was presented in 2016. A LOT has happened sense then. I would like to hear this speaker's perspective on today's STATE OF THE UNION.

If you want to remain on the plantation then be my guest. If you want to hold up George Floyd as some kind of hero...that's sad. If you think BLM is anything other than useful idiots and Marxists then you need help. America needs a unifying vision and this woman is providing it.

I imagine Mrs Adams made that statement about Sally, because she was young and ...beautiful. I'm sure she attracted a lot of attention and might have been in danger traveling. Jefferson was obviously quite taken with Sally. He defied all of the conventions of his day to keep her, well beyond the rush of first attraction, or heat of a moment, of passion or lust. His entire reputation, his very legacy was risked for the love or obsession with Sally. Sally and her family, were the greatest test or challenge in his life. Sally made him think and question his beliefs.

Regarding giving the Jefferson Bible to Congress: Just hang on to your podium.... In 2016, you just would not have believed the truth of 2021 and what has gone on in Congress. It is ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE! Yes, a young nation upon which we see unleashed another unCivil War.

She needs to study the right history books. This wasn't informative, some was but from a liberal mind set. She didn't mention how he made Bible tracks to give to Indians for easier reading. Also like most no mention of the new Americans people fought to end slavery and how Lincoln was assassinated. And how slavery was not just an American problem. Be apart of the solution not the problem. America was called these united states of america before 1776 then changed to, The United States of America 🇺🇸 Instead of harping and shaming promote to early do gooders ie the American pastors many were elected officials of all skin colors. Get out travel see visit other countries and cultures before you bash American Christian values. Learning from library books will only take you so far.
