The safety car was out when the pit window opened for driver changes. So everyone but 1 car came in. It is a small pit area, so they were double stacked in the haphazardly. This lead to a small pit lane exit. A BMW came out and clipped the back of the VW and that sent it into the Praga. Thankfully the incident didn’t get anyone hurt.

I'm glad everyone was ok, but yes, this is one of those situation which must be addressed with some change in the rulebook (something like either closed pit lane under SC, or when safety car is out in the pit window only one class per lap can come in).

No, there was a BMW exiting their Pit's when the VW went by. Unsafe release. Though, cars were doublestacked in the pits so it was hard to see i guess.

That's just racing. Shit happens. I suppose it's possible that Praga has some kind of umbrella policy just to cap potential costs if all the cars get destroyed, but it wouldn't be like your normal road insurance where they go after who's at fault on track. You go on the track and you're going into the line of fire, and you can't walk on to a battlefield and not expect to get shot, even by your own side. This is why most people race shitboxes that are cheap to repair. Jimmy may be able to afford a GTR and a Skyline but there's a reason why his racecar is a Miata.

You can see the race on the BARC channel. There was much confusion with the safety car and getting things sorted out. Best I can tell, because everyone came in under the safety car they had to maintain position until the safety car was off the track. Something like that anyway.
