What a great video. Not only the top shelf craftsmanship, but the production as well. Loved the Lonesome Dove, Grizzly and the whole hole expedition.... mag drill to the rescue. Also enjoy your problem solving, seem to always be thinking outside the box and not tunnel visioned. Thanks for another great one!

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I try to be an outside the box thinker. The truth is, I think you're forced to think outside the box when you make mistakes. No wonder I'm getting so good at it! Lol. Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for watching!

I love your work ethics, and skills. Undeniable integrity. But you would do well to consult on some of the engineering. That 4500lb winch was plenty for the task. The rolling resistance of a 4500lb vehicle is nill. Heck, my tow-rig weighs almost 10klbs, and I can push it by hand (on flat ground). While the pull requirements going up-hill are quite expenential. It would take a pretty steep incline for a 4500lb rolling load, even factoring rolling resistance from low tire pressure, to overcome a 4500lb winch. That winch you installed would probably lift that trailer straight vertical off the ground. Hey, I get it! My wife calls me "Overkill Bill", LOL. I probably would have built a very similar mounting system (probably from 5/16"). But, used the supplied winch. After all, it is usually the weldment Or parent metal of said weldment that would fail in a situation like that when the "china factor" is calculated. Please don't take this comment wrong. Fantastic job! Loved the vid! And, you obviously know what you are doing. I would not hesitate to stand dead square under one of your cranes. This is not meant as an insult in any way.

Very well built, meticulous, and professional. Having the right tools and equipment definitely make jobs a lot easier. With field work I’m constantly battling that. A lot of making due with what’s on site is too repetitive. Numerous times I’ve had to use flat bar, porta powers, and bridge clamps in order to make bends and breaks. I e even had to score the back side of the material with a wafer wheel 1/3-1/2 thickness to get the material to bend. Then go back and weld and grind the cut smooth. I thoroughly enjoy your content

Nothing too strong ever broke! to me, winch mounts and trailer hitches are the same. I’ve never had a winch come off or a trailer hitch come loose or be too small just as an example my cousin has got a car trailer with a 6000 lbs warn winch, I never thought it was large enough for the trailer, but I have seen him tow, full-size Pontiac car with four flat tires up the ramps and onto the trailer with the winch, just groaning and me telling him that he needs to put a snatch block in and he says it’s fine. It’s been on there for 25 years.🤷‍♂️
