The pump in that trans has the valve for your torque converter lock up. It is at the end of its life with that many miles

Hey, Clayman!! Glad to be aboard with yous at PRI 2023! Boy Howdy! The _Goat_ looked and sounded tremendous! It's nice to know you have lots of real friends that have your _six_ if you get in a jam (aka, The duelly...yeah, I spell it wrong on purpose! lol). How is the duelly? It's great that ya made an unintentional adventure outta the whole thing and had company with ya the second time! The "Boss" 's Camaro was pretty wicked, and I thought I'd share some intel with my fave hero, "Fueler Pilot" (as you've shared a ton with me). The '67 and '68 Camaro can be a real _bitch_ to identify, but once I pass these "giveaways" to you... yer golden! The most apparent giveaway (especially if you are seeing it from the side only) is that the '67 had no side markers, but it did have butterfly or vent windows (I heard you Southerners never called them "butterflies"). Now, if you only have a front view, the giveaway is the signal lights. On the '67, they are round, and on the '68, they are rectangular. I even got you covered if you only have the tail-end view! The '67's tail light covers are one piece, but on the '68, the tail light covers are separated, and finally, we come all the way back to the start of the differences; the '68 _had_ front & rear side markers. You prolly knew all that anyways, but I've been taking notes on differences between different years of the same cars for years (car shows, the Drags, obviously! lol.) and I don't get to pass any of this intel off to anyone very often. So, I hope this helps make you _TOP_ yer buds when the '67/'68 argument comes up, or you actually see one in the wild just driven' the long hot asphalt! Still waiting for what my position is on your virtual pit crew team! Lol! Thanks for the "PickMeUp", I needed it today! Yer friend The chaos. \m/ .

That Vega was the same car I got when I was 13 years old the red was its color I had a blown head gasket and no timing belt on it I got a manual in the car and had it running within the year😊

Ouch, those are very common for a plethora of issues. I was fortunate at the time I ordered mine in ‘13 and unknowingly ordered it with the aisin. It was in the HO package iirc.
