@@hello_alpine1693 F1 engine would be too extreme and costly for this hypercar class, and it's not like alpine's f1 engine is much more reliable anyways. One idea is to apply twin turbos to the zytek 3.4 v8 of the formula renault 3.5. Another idea is to use Nissan engines because Renault is always tied with Nissan even down to motorsports. Either Twin Turbo Nissan VQ which was also used on older F Renault 3.5, or the good ol' vr38dett, or the vk45.

@@hello_alpine1693 mhm. And it's no new idea either. There's the Ligier Nissan DPi in IMSA 2017-2019 with 4 wins to record uses a too. However, alpine might need to redesign the engine a little to have no traditional engine starter (because the gearbox built-in mguk already does the job) and billet block so it's lighter. Though it's not like other teams didn't do the same.

Mick was going well in his stint in the Alpine, took over the car in P21, raced up to P11. After he pit to change driver they were still P16, so 5 places gained in his stint. Solid showing.

Well done hand picking one short moment in the race when he hadn't pitted while others pitted, that got him few positions and claiming he ''made it to P11'' :DDDD The delusions are real. He started 16th/17th and finished there, even though he gained positions from other cars having some problems. He basically lost positions on track. It's just laughable how you people hype him up as some ''amazing driver doing an unheard of performance'' while Shwartzman fought for the lead under huge pressure from the experienced drivers. If his name wasn't ''Schumacher'' he wouldn't be this hyped up, and he would've never got this far. He would be like his cousin, crashing in DTM and losing his seat there.

In formulas he started using his name and money though, which is why he got special treatment at Prema like Shwartzman did. They were nowhere in F3 for example until the mid season when they started switching engines and suddenly they were winning everything while the other Prema drivers who were doing well before, were nowehere anymore, like Zhou. He doesn't deserve a seat anywhere in the top series, proven once again in WEC:
