It's been two years since we've been down to the Baker's Factory in Clermont, FL. Since then, Aldon Baker has expanded his operation to house more riders and teams with new tracks and the addition of a new building. Jason Weigandt joins Aldon on a tour of what's new and gets Aldon's thought processes in taking what he's learned over the years to improve his motocross training compound.

Et34tw #3 he keeps his stuff on the dL, which I can’t blame him at all because would you want everyone knowing how you train and what your ride to be so fit and the best? Smart move forsure

How in the heck did he not call his place "The Bakery".. .... His name - He creates champions - and it's hot as hell where the track is located - and the riders who come from there are HOT as well. Sheesh. It's so simple.

Hate him or love him Aldon has definitely progressed the sport with his techniques on fitness. Even the guys that leave they still retain what they learn from the Baker farm, they just put there own spin to benefit there program, either way the man has been a big part legitimizing our sport.

The fitness part of program,is one for endurance but also strength help prevent injury and the fitter u are useally the faster u bounce back,so even if u think u are in great shape u may not feel u need the extra push...then a year later u may notice hey I really needed it,as much as u resist it,that's the coaching part,hey some people overload and that's why it takes great commitment,nothing is guaranteed but confidence comes easier when u know yourself u did everything u could...nice work awsum facility I'm sure it will grow bigger Aldin,don't worry nice work mate.roost on,piece out...thanks for tour..loved da music ,louder please...hah hah

Looking back , the only rider I feel that Aldons program hendered was Bubba. Bubba wasn't a weight and diet type of guy, he got in shape since he was on 80s from seat time on the bike, riding got bubba where he was at. Big James use to tell us at nationals that James was never the same after the Baker fiasco, it got in James head that if he didn't do everything Aldon had shown him that he wasn't ready or he wasn't putting in enough work. Confidence is everything in this sport , and as far as I can remember James was the only rider ever to enter Aldons program and was damaged goods afterwards .

Thomas reed Not yet. He went all in. Big loan and he is a little uneasy about it. I am finance guy and read people pretty well when it comes to money. Most people over-extend themselves financially, too, always assuming the best case scenario. This better churn at full capacity to pay for itself.

He's no fool.. If each of his boys are paying him 6 figures a year x 4 riders, plus other sponsorships..I think he can afford to build a 5-bay garage on his property. Plus I'm sure Troy Lee and Bobby H. will have some sort of deal worked out for using his facility

Anyone else under the impression that Aldon is a little uneasy about the size of this entire investment? Somehow I can't believe that it was all cash. EDIT: Ha! I read him like my own pocket with my left hand - I commented on this half-way through the video and at 10:50 he basically tells me what I noticed EXACTLY. Well, this thing better has guys churnig through it and operate at full capacity at all times - looks like he went all in.

Looks like Bobby, Aldon, and Rodger are making quite a bit of a team. A dynasty no less. Now Rodger has been a team manager for some great teams. Team Honda, Suzuki, KTM, And got just a finger nail in the Husky tent. Buuutttt, Bobby got that covered. I hate that Stewart didn't get to work with him. I think Rodger would have been a whole lot of help to James. Really if you think about it and I could be wrong James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto are the only riders that have won a championship that haven't worked with Rodger decoster and some way form or another.

So Cal put in some crazy laws about where you could build a track and how far it had to be from other buildings and homes, that on top of the fairly hefty state income tax i do not blame riders for ditching California.

@RacerXIllustrated
@RacerXIllustrated 6 жыл бұрын
Close. Langston owned a place then sold to Villopoto. Aldon worked there with Villopoto. But then Villopoto sold it and Aldon had to buy his own place. This is about 10 miles or so from the original Langston/Villopoto track. That track was called The Nest for awhile and is now called Moto Sandbox. Roczen, Cianciarulo, Sexton, Seely and Craig ride there now.

@ItsTheRufus
@ItsTheRufus 6 жыл бұрын
mwwalsh133 RC wasn’t paying nearly as much as Aldon charges now. Riders have to spend a years salary just to train with aldon now a days. But I will agree Aldon can thank RC for his success. But the money definitely came from RV, RD, etc.

Timothy McJury again everyone besides RC, and maybe JS, were paying Aldon 6 figures just to train with him for the year. Aldon can thank RC mostly (JS as well) for putting him on the map for other riders to be willing to pay that much money just to train with him. That’s what I was saying.

Talent has dropped tremendously this season. When you have riders that a few years back were going to the LCQ and now are in top 10 in points ? I'd say our sport has lost talent and digressed. Yes Musquin , tomac are fast but it's the top 6 that has suffered . Say what you will but if Reedy was healthy and was able to be in shape and had seat time on his new bike he would've made waves this season. Chad will be on the box a lot next season , I wish he'd get with Aldon and do a minicamp if you will for 3 months before anehiem next season , he would compete for wins and possibly a title if he catches a win early . Chad's racing into shape and basically racing himself healthy this season. Fans think he's done and washed up but there is one more competitive season left in Chad if he stays healthy and gets comfortable.
@KYMXRacer
@KYMXRacer 6 жыл бұрын
clemsontigz1 I do disagree. I don't believe we'll see another win from Chad. I'd actually be surprised by a top 3.

If by "Talent has dropped tremendously this season" you mean LITERALLY dropped, then yes. These guys are more talented than ever with fitness and technique. But we've had K-Roc, ET3, Deano, BamBam, Seely, Grant, Webb, Bogle, etc...all hit the tarmac and get injured. I'm a Reed fan, but let's be real. He's been making main events via LCQ this season
