That thing he was locking the forks into at the end is a launch control kit, helps at the gate for the wholeshot. For those who were wondering.

@bloodfo if u mean wut he's doin at the end, thts a holeshot device. it holds the front end down when u start so the bike is less likely to stand up.

it holds the forks compressed for the holeshot so that you can get better starts, everyone uses them. after the front wheel bounces it pops back to the normal position

@kkelson11 its a device that holds your front forks down, on starts so you dont wheelie out, because those are some FAST bikes.

@sadza51 That depends... depends on if you have a stock one, or one that you tested tons and tons of parts for and asked you're mechanic to install the ones you liked best on you're bike, then have it tuned up perfectly every time before you ride. If you are talking about the later suggestion, then any bike can be as good as you want it to be. :p

talent is important, but it doesn't matter if you don't practice.. I was a top 10 (never got to be top 3) rider practicing once or twice a month for 2 years (back when I was 10-12 years old)... Now that I started practicing really hard 2 to 3 times a week in 2 month I got to be top 3 (finishing 3 and 4 in each moto) (21 yrs old now and going back to racing).. It's all about practice, consistant and commitment.

they were "preloading" the front forks lol sorry for this long explanation but you can put this mod called a "pro holeshot" many different companies make it but basically when you compress your forks down, another person pushes like this metal tab so it connects to the mod on the fork, keeping the front forks down so that they dont wheelie on their starts im pretty sure all suspension companies make them and they are inexpensive

Probably because he's able to ride that without hardly letting off. On the 450 he has to let off the gas a lot more instead of just keeping it pinned the whole way.
