Over the last decade or more of watching Travis and this team what I’ve come to love the most, is that no matter what the ramp is, Travis will hit it first to show everyone that it is doable and safe. Gotta love that he wants to me them as “comfortable” as they can be

I've been able to watch the entire evolution of freestyle dirt bike jumping, from Metzger doing the 1st backflip (no foam pit practice, just dirt),to Pastrana nailing the double backflip,and Sheehan hitting a triple,now we have double front flips,and tricks in between flips,and so much more,then I click on this today,just wow..

Yes exactly!!! We dont need them to land on dirt. This landing looked better, and not only looking better it was more safe also. There is no need for a hard landing where the riders will be so hurt they even may die. Sure i like action sport, but from the riders wiew, this is so much better. Travis is doing so good work.

The way I see it, improving safety lets people go even bigger. When you get to truly dangerous sports like this (more consequence than bmx or skateboarding due to engine power + weight) I'm willing to sacfrice the consequence so people feel safer to go bigger.

Yes it is extremely dangerous my brother and I both have definitely banged our self up pretty good! Travis pastrami has broken almost every bone! So yes it’s definitely one of the hardest and gnarliest!

I remember back whenever a superman was considered one of the most difficulty tricks in the bag. The first back flip ,the first double back ,first front flip, but these are on a different level that will be harder to top.

I just had to go revisit Travis Pastrana when he was 15 in the X games and people were losing their minds over tricks like "The Rodeo" or a "Seran wrap" or a "knack knack" LMAO. Oh man Travis has took this sport wayyyyy beyond I ever imagined. Nowadays those tricks are like the basic skill questions you get on forms. Not allowed at Pastrana land if you can't do those lol.

Ausome event. But reality is showing with Cook. It's real & to see a dirtbike fly with the rider layed out like a board, tires inverted, riders 360 on the bike. Just cool. Thanks to all for doing a great job for our entertainment. 👍👍

Great memories' I was lucky enough to work for the backend stage crew tasked with the bump in and bump out of the lighting and sound. What amazed me still to this day is the EXTRA 6 TO 9 FEET of structural support that was needed underneath the riders rest and sitting area alone just to support the weight those legend's carry in 'nads alone. Whoa...

If anyone would ever say that because Duffy's double f in front flip or any of the other tricks were trash cause they weren't to dirt are un glued from this planet. That landing looked prity hard to me 🧐 not to mention after bruce cook i honestly didn't think we'd see the double front flip tried again and actually ride away. Stupid question here: why take the cushion away at all? The jumps themselves are no different - and there is much less risk for the rider. Surely it must be a good thing not ending up paralysed? Unless somehow the jumps ARE different without the safety.

These guys take such huge risks to achieve this. Most guys in this sport know someone who has had an accident that leaves them in a wheelchair for life. bmx, skating, scooter, all of it pretty much you can just work out by feel and slamming. FMX is now at the point where you need someone there with a background in engineering and someone in physics to plan and attempt these tricks lol.
