Actually one of the best instructive videos for BW, at least on those 3 sections. Simple but very approachable. Your Laguna Seca instructive videos were really helpful too! Dion def knows how to teach this stuff thru! One thing I was hoping to hear tho, is the smoothest line around Riverside. That part is EXTREMELY bumpy and always seems to unsettle my car too much that it loses some grip.

Hey Curtis (Dion here) - thank you for the kind words :). Yeah it is hard to find that right line through riverside and a lot of that depends on car. Where I usually struggle the most is the really big bump right at that second apex point. In some stiffer cars I will purposely miss that apex by a half car width or so. That seems to really help in putting the power down!

@@BlayzeCoaching Yeah I'll try go a bit wider like you said next time. Thx for the tip!

That third one is super counter intuitive to me. My instinct is to help the car rotate with throttle, so lifting seems like something I would struggle with there.

Good stuff. Gonna be doing a motorcycle track day at BW on Monday, so these are good points to be thinking about.

Nice! Enjoy! Our Motorcycle Pro-Coach, Ken Hill made a fantastic full track guide to Buttonwillow for riders here: racers360.com/education/buttonwillow-cw-raceway-the-official-race-track-guide-motorcycle/?plan=plan_GvEOr97g7XIWBS. It is part of our Racers Lounge but tons of great info from Ken and all our coaches there, with lots more great stuff coming!

Just finished BW, I got turn 2 wrong so many times, and can’t get speed out that corner

Turn 2 is a hard one… it’s a little hard to help out seeing your video. Highly recommend you try out working 1:1 with one of our Blayze coaches: blayze.io/car-racing

Don't forget the point that tires can only do one thing at 100% if you want 100% of grip you cannot be breaking and turning at the same time
@BlayzeCoaching2 жыл бұрын
While you can't be at 100% brake pressure and turning, you ABSOLUTELY can have some brake pressure while turning. The philosophy of straight line braking only is wrong.

All super rookie mistakes to make. Turn 2: Something that should be emphasized is throttle discipline out of turn two. Most drivers are too impatient, break traction and push themselves wide on top of it. Such a common mistake. The mistake many make is not realizing turn 2 is a great passing area. TLDR: straight line the Bus Stop chicane. If they’re running the Bus Stop chicane into Riverside (which is way more fun than just a long straight into an easy turn) and your front end is really strong, make a tiny lift to let your car get planted as you transition from the tiny right and then, aiming for the dirt on the inside of the corner, get as much of your car over the dragon’s teeth (ideally be partly on the dirt actually) and you’ll get a much straighter and better run into Riverside.
