@@zmc223 yep, kind of hard to race on an empty tank LOL. I was just commenting on the fact that these time attack cars regardless of horsepower are geared for screaming acceleration. Even the tiny little 400 horsepower cars that have little 2 L 12,000 RPM NA Cosworth racing motors mated to sequential transmissions with straight cut gears. It's nice to know that you can always be in the meat of the powerband.

I came here to say that they should get Kimi to drive :) I think they cannot drive over the curbs because of the very slow splitters and the racing line is so different then GT3 cars.

Yep for sure! Amateur driver that lost confidense on the first braking due to different brake feel (the last incar). Plus we had only 1 day of running so no time to study the data deeper.

Saw that car on Tiktok a while back and was taken aback by the ammount of wings. How much downforce does this thing generate? Mega lap tho, now imagine a pro pro driver in it. Probably mid 1:40's, I think this car absolutely can reach that. Congrats tho, see yo next year :D

over 5 tons of downforce at around 260kph .just watched a video where they talked about the setup. they have active suspension to compensate for the INSANE downforce :D

I actually expected a much faster time. The production car record is 1:56.1, running on road tires, with a warranty. Perhaps it also says how well did AMG did with their AMG One.

I think traction is a big problem you can see that he has to have the Car almost plain level to accelerate at full Throttle where as when you watch a GT3 lap the GP curcuit you can see they can Get on the Gas alot Earlier. Dont know what set of TC they are running but i bet there is alot of Time laying on the Exits of the Cornerw

I think there is a ton left on the table. Seeing the onboard, he was only fast in the straights and quite slow in the corners, especially in the slower ones. The line was off on a few points also. So they need to get the suspension setup correctly to improve and maybe also learn the track better. I think this car can go faster than a gt3 with a better setup and maybe more seat time at the track.

Yeah biggest difference is that our driver is a retired sausage salesman. So we need quite an extreme machine to compensate for the driver. 😬 Also at the moment we are running hard compound tires as we couldnt make the softs survive at the rear with the current setup so giving away quite a bit in slow and medium pace corners. We will have a pro driver behind the wheel for some testing next year when more things should be dialed in so stay tuned for some quicker laps!

This is why fins are all super fast. Their emotions are not part of the equation. Everybody thought Kimi was just being a dick, but that is how they all are. Emotions cloud the mind. Plus emotions waste energy in the mind numbing cold.

Cool beast! But looks like the driver wasn't very confident during braking and whole corner. In outlaw spec and butt load of power and aero, way shorter time should be doable. I did faster time in GT3 spec R8 having under 600HP on this track with fast chicane layout ;)

No tire limits, we are running hard compound slicks at the moment as we havent tested enough to make softer compounds survive.

Not quite, by memory the braking is around 2,8G max and cornering on this track might top at 2,5. The camera sensor might be a bit spiky at times. But the car does do things quite nicely. 🙂

It's a nice time for a normal racecar, but given that this is Unlimited - it isn't that fast unlesss the circuit used was the extended GP one? A road legal unmodded AMG ONE has done 1:56 and a normal LMP2 car has done 1:44. I think the car should be able to be 10+ seconds faster if you can get it faster in the corners. Great start though!

Mild hybrid. 😬 Very small lithium battery on the car so need to be on charger at all times as the ECU etc uses quite a bit even when not running.

Fantastic car. Pulls so much! But not sure if the aero is fully utilised or works well. In Michael Schumacher S which is an aero corner I have a 10kph higher minimum speed in a standard GT4 Cayman on a 5 degrees foggy day. With all this aero I think your car should manage much more.
