The opening road scenes and closing road scene could very well be right here at home in East Tennessee of the Southern United States! Yes, it is amazing at the similarities found around the world. Many of our roads have become commercialized as tourist (rider) destinations. For example we have a road in East Tennessee & Western North Carolina, US129, that in just a short stretch of mountain riding, there’s 318 curves in eleven miles. It is nationally advertised as “The Tail of the Dragon”, and has become a very busy tourist destination. We also have many other roads in the area that have been given “nicknames” but will never see the traffic that US129 gets! Many of them are equal, if not a better ride. Then, there’s all he local roads between our communities that offer some fantastic riding with virtually no traffic. These are the roads we all enjoy and just don’t talk about! Now that I have managed to drool all over that gorgeous CX, I will congratulate the second and third place beautiful bikes and their designers, and of course, their builders ! Any one of these beautiful pieces of artwork could have easily been sitting at the top of the list ! And no doubt have also been given the countless hours that go into a successful build ! Each of them, in their own way, have that same simple design work of understated elegance, and timeless appeal ! And to that end, I congratulate all of the designers, and builders, that have put in those incredibly long hours in order to have something so special as the end result ! Great work gentlemen !

Over the past few years, I have seen that bikes get more votes and more tips of the hat when they aren’t overdone and have a more achievable transformation that the viewer can see themselves doing with their own bike. I think this is the correct direction because it serves the original intent of the cafe racer and serves to support the purpose of the resurgence that we saw a decade ago. I suspect this will change how professional builders approach the projects that they build in the future.

3:45 perfect. This is the one. And it has the right tires and handlebars. 5:20 and this is a proper CX. But this BMW should be number 2, or even number one -> 5:52. Perfect tires, and it is a cafe racer in every sense. This 7:28 is the perfect mix of modern and retro.

Lovely video. I recently discovered your channel after getting myself an MC, and I just love the way you live your motorcycle philosophy. Also I keep wondering, the voice in your clips, is it a robot? It kind of sounds too perfect, not as we normally speak. Thank you.

Thanks. Unfortunately, things are more complicated than most people may think. I use this "robotic" voice created by software, because I'm Portuguese, and my bad English accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that I like for my videos. I already tried a real American voice in one of my videos, but things didn't work as I expected. Curiously, the robotic voice sounds very good for all non-English natives. Cheers.

Still back-firing on the overrun! I'm not too familiar with cv carbs, but the popping means a lean mixture on closed throttle decelleration. Richer idle jet (possibly richer needle too) may be needed if the mixture screw won't cure it.

Yes, but to be honest, i am not so worried. Becasue i still love to hear those popping/ back-firing. Lol. But i think it has something to do with a Rich mixture due to the bigger jets. Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.

I love your bike. Only thing I'd change is the pipes: they shouldn't be parallel, they should go in to the centre of the bike and finally open to the silencers?

If the object is top make an undesirable bike desirable they are all awesome, Norton pea shooters make anything sound great! But a cool engine would lift any of these to sublime. Thanks for sharing
