Incredibly helpful. Thank you for putting this together. You cleared up a LOT of information that the Digitrax documentation had left me confused about.

HI there. Great video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Do you use the DIgitrax transponding features like the RX4, etc. ? If so, have you thought of creating a video showing how to setup Digitrax transponding with the BDL and RX* transponders? I've been searching for a how to video on this, but haven't found anything helpful. Cheers!

thanks for answer--ccan you let me know does it matter if the inner or outer rail of the track is cut to form the block-I see you use the inner rail -I am thinking of using the outer rail best regards

gfjno No it doesn't matter which one

thanks for reply--i see you remove the temporary connections to the main buss wire on the rail which is cut to form the blocks--what about the wire to the continuous rail--does this become the Detection common?

gfjno hi, the feeders from the black wire are left uncut

I have used the Liquid Tape brush on insulation product to cover up old splice points on my power bus. Works well on all sizes of wire.

excellent video--I am using it as instruction video--can you confirm when connecting to zephyr controller is there only one wire(zone common) connected to " rail a" terminal and only one wire (detection common) connected to " rail b"?

+gfjno Hi, glad you enjoyed the video. You are correct with the wiring.

What Brand is the Cable Tester and what should I be looking for so I get the right one? Thank You
@DetroitRiverRailroad9 жыл бұрын
SFCRambo60 Hi, the cable tester was a cheap one from china. As long as it take a RJ45 plug you will be right

I am having huge trouble with trying to figure this out. All my block 1-4 says occupied but there is no zone power. Did u cut both rails for each block. Or does rail b run continuously
@DetroitRiverRailroad6 жыл бұрын
Rail b run continuously, only rail a is used for block detection. Rail b track feeders run straight to the buss line. You will need to double check your wiring. The bdl168 supplies power to each block section rail a only. It's difficult for me to work out your problem without seeing your wiring. If you are still having problems message me again and I'll get you to send some pictures of your wiring
