If Chase wins this outdoor championship, I personally won't think it was handed to him. Yes, Jet got hurt, but remember his brother, Hunter, had the red plate at that time... in other words, he was beating Chase. However, Chase has stepped it up and showing what he can do when he doesn't have another rider (Jett) in his head. I honestly think that a lot of the issues with Chase have been psychological. Remove that and Chase is a beast.

100% agree!! He has worked his butt off and look at him winning 1:1 the past two weekends. The other riders are NO SLOUCH either. You can say that in any season. What about Jett last year, 100% respect to him and not knocking him by means, but you can say well "he won it because Eli wasn't racing" yes/no. End of the day he beat 39 other riders like Chase is doing now, period.

They are all SUPER FIT riders, let say that first but Chase is truly an animal fitness wise and now has the confidence in his head that he is unstoppable and can't be beat - that is a scary recipe for the other 39 riders!! chase and haiden are great examples of having some actual muscle on your body and being able to take a hit. Not only can they take a hit but they can also outlast everyone else which may just come down to being stronger than everyone else. Before anyone brings up Jett or Eli they are both big guys too.

@@EarthSurferUSA yea now we are seeing the evolution of the sport. Bigger guys that are just as fit if not fitter than the skinny guys. They can sprint harder for longer and then you see all the skinny guys fade because they can’t take the heat. An example would be just hopping over a breaking bump, if the skinny guy is using 80% of his max force to pull that bike up then the stronger guy is using 50%, guess who uses more energy over the 35 minutes?

I think it's different in moto, "injury prone" has more to do with how often they crash more so than how often they get hurt. Someone that gets hurt and has to miss races after every tip-over I would say is "injury prone" but someone like Forkner who has missed more races than he's attended since going pro, but has been the result of big crashes, would say he is "crash prone" even then luck can be a big factor ie getting landed on by jet, ran into on the start, etc.

Thx for the updates and input. Hey, what is up with the Peacock network guys? As you well know, each season is each class is a longer story playing out over time, to see who the winner will be in each class, and to see the great battles that will live on forever. Today, all I wanted to see was all the details of what happened when Vaille and Deegan began their battle, but as soon as it starts, they stop covering them and go to people way back in the pack. If it were top 5 people, I would not have commented, but it's almost always farther back. They had the camera on Kitchen in I think 15th for half the broadcast it seemed 1 moto. Is it just me, or do they keep spending most of the video time on the guys from 5th to 15th? I have nothing against those guys, they are all rock stars in my book, but the story in the 250's this year started with Deegan domination, then some think he showed weakness, and flaws, so everybody has been waiting and wondering to see when he would come back to who he was when this year started. Right? So, most of the camera work focused on a 15th place Kitchen, and several other 5th to 15th placed guys completely missing the Long-awaited showdown between Vaille and Deegan. I have noticed this since I paid for my prescription to Peacock. They spend most of the on-air time pointed at all but the leaders, and seem to forget about the top 5 guy battles, which should be the focus, instead to focus on people that are not even shown in the list to the left. Surely you, the Weege of MX and SX can get some input where it belongs, can't you? Can they take a poll? I'm certainly not alone in my opinion on this, and it's disappointing to finally have the head to head battle of the year happen, and catch nearly none of it on tape. Btw, off topic, but I met you in Atlanta at a Red Bull Party years back when Brandon Bently played host for our Florida group and showed us just how much fun can be had in Atlanta during the SX week. I enjoyed our chat and the party. Anyway, I am still happy to have the coverage, so this isn't a big deal to me, but it seems like the person picking the camera coverage isn't with the flow of the season at all. Just sayin... Anyway, thx for all the options to hear all about the sport that I will forever love, and for all you do to keep us has-been's up to date. It is MUCH appreciated Weege, thanks much and God Bless you.

Yes I too was very aggravated with that. The real race was up front with Deegan & Tom even in the first moto when Deegan started closing on Tom several times. They should have showed all that when Deegan finally let Tom go and same in second moto when Deegan gapped Tom. They were still racing for the win up until that point. I get it that they have to show the rest of the field but when you do that is in question. Last year we watched Hunter 75% of every race weather he was in first or 15th.Deegan would close on Tom within 2 sec and they would show Joey for 5 minutes, then you would think they were gonna finally show the battle and they would switch to Jett Reynold lol

The tour goes for 3 and a bit weeks. Most of the cyclists are working at their manageable rate to ensure they last the whole event. Although they are insanely fit, they don’t have to deal with ruts, arm pump, breaking bumps, little jumps, big jumps, sand, rollers, whoops, mud, dust, inertia of the motorcycle, riding gear, lappers, other riders cross jumping, and all whilst having an over powered, over heating missile between their legs. Plus they also cycle a 100+miles themselves during the week. Kinda hard to compare when you think about it..
