The MotoCritic is 61 got his first dirt bike in 1972, rode weekly ever since, followed the sport when the only media we had was a newspaper print, not even a magazine yet, a copy of “Cycle News” sold at dealership parts counters. When Anderson blew by, again blew by, BOTH, brat brothers from down under the Lawrences at the same time I literally came up off the couch and stood the entire race. Thank You Jason Anderson for stopping the invasion. Zero hesitation when you pulled the trigger just like Anaheim 1 start. It was nothing short of awesome. That was just the first two minutes then for the next 10 minutes you kept Jett sucking your tailpipe fumes and withstood him poking around back there relentlessly, tip toeing he had soo much Jason Anderson caused PTRD “post traumatic racing disorder.” But Ill say this Jett conquered ONE of his hurdles last night. He took ZERO chance of ANY type of incident with Anderson and showed the most patience I’ve ever seen, even when Roczen may two runs at him, he was getting sandwiched by two icons of the sport and didn’t unravel. I still don’t like him but I call like it is. And nobody will ever hit 72, its too hard to stay healthy that long now. Deegan also did exactly what he needed and lived up to the hype and talk. Thanks for making it really excited Anderson. I was at home standing for 20 minutes like I was at the race it felt good and I didn’t have to deal with any crowd. Old people don’t like crowds. If someone stole my money and was terminated I wouldn’t be releasing ANY statement I’d let the cops and legal system do my talking so something is amiss.

Jett gave us another JMB/Everts-esque performance during the main event. Everyone was just taking the conditions as they were while he was using his brain all main event long trying to redraw the racing line like a dirt tracker does during a 100-lap main. Roczen's current painfully consistent self actually works great with how "random" things are now that we have 8 great riders instead of the usual 3-4. There was a time where a great one like ET3 could start outside the top15 in January/February/March and still finish 4th but those times are now gone, specially if the track isn't perfect for passing. Roczen is there all the time, gets passed but not by 6 guys so he's a realistic points contender... for now. Anderson didn't use his brain much (at least not as much as Jett!), neither did Sexton. Chase reminded me how I, a mediocre skier, gets angry at the snow whenever a turn doesn't go as I had planned. It's not the ground's fault, it's your fault for either not anticipating or not reacting properly! Hunter kinda hurt Jett for like half a lap, maybe the biggest WTF moment of any of the 2 mains. I expected him to tumble down the scoring tower after that because of how bad he looked but apparently he had a fairly good race. It's not all doom and gloom for the older Lawrence! JCoop went from the classic "I know the conditions better than y'all because I was in the LCQ" advantage to the "I rode too much today" disadvantage. Can't have the best of both worlds unless you're a great physical specimen and Justin is good for sure but not fantastic. ET3 suffered from his poor start, then things didn't go easier because it wasn't a traction-rich track and he isn't much "creative". The whole Tomac vs Jett kinda reminds me about VR46 vs Márquez in MotoGp. ET3 is the older guy that has never done anything too new, he's just really effective, while Jett almost seems like he's gonna create a whole "new" school of riding (Marc takes from Freddie Spencer, Jett from JMB and Everts). Thankfully for all, Tomac isn't an asshole on track or away from it! Big fan of Cooper Webb chasing (getting towed by) Tomac, then letting go when it was clear they weren't gonna reach anyone. #2 lost like 4" to #3 on the final 2 laps, probably entirely by choice. Why bother getting extra-tired when the points total will be the same? Plessinger with a finishing rate in 2025 worse than o a married woman. Maybe it's not his fault but it's not like the other KTMs (orange, white or red) are having the issues he's having. The 250F main looked like it was gonna be entertaining... for like 1-2 minutes. Maybe it's the injuries or riders wanting to dodge Haiden Deegan but that class' talent pool is 6-7 riders deep right now. Jordon Smith must be damn happy the class is this bad, his mistakes aren't costing him more! Shimoda is damn injured (lost to Haiden what BENNY BLOSS was losing to Jett), he shouldn't have showed up... and still got 6th because there's NO ONE WORTH NOTICING past that at least for now. PS: Drew Adams and Parker Ross need to start doing proper series-like training (never been a fan of the whole "doing 20s/30s/40s", that's not how the other racing sports work nowadays). They didn't fade halfway through, they both hit the wall harder than some influencers that only have their looks to make money.

You could clearly see the difference in the whoops on the broadcast, but I did think it was cool to have 2 sets, and have one rolled, and 1 not, just for the separate technique you would have in each, i don't know why you guys have not made an implement to go onto the front end loader to cut, reshape,Whatever, two whoops at a time from the side to fix them throughout the night.... but damn, I am pretty pissed off that I found myself agreeing with steve mathis.
