Infusion gives you a small attack bonus for every kill Harpoon gives a significantly smaller speed bonus, but it doesnt go away Lepton daisy damages all enemies in the tp zone once a certain number of enemies enter it Aegis replaces safer spaces Scorpion sidegrades shustuce Edit: thanks fefo1945 for this idea. There's actually this little mod that I like that resumes the stage music after you complete a teleporter event, so it isn't just silence. Doesn't fix the distortion effect while outside the teleporter range though. I like the ror2 soundtrack a lot, so I try to keep it on while I'm playing, but I'll put on other music pretty frequently as well.

For a game called "Risk of Rain," there's a surprising lack of rain. So if I were to add anything to Eclipse to make it harder, it would be to have an actual rainstorm in-game that slightly reduces visibility and scales with difficulty, starting out as basically nothing more than a visual effect and become strong enough that you can't scout out entire maps later on but you would still be able to see decently far enough. This would shift everything over and become the E1 modifier. I would also add an E9 in which the storm scales faster and reduces visibility a little bit more.

Hiya Race, I don't know if you'll see this but I've noticed that at 7:21 you only get 0.75 seconds added to the timer for each print, but by default it takes 4 seconds (from taking your item to being able to interact again). I went into Faster Interable Balancer's config files and what do you know, "3D Printer Time Penalty" is set at 0.75 as default. What I would do is look at Exchange Changes config and see what the values are there, and minus that from the default times for less of a 'cheat' (I set all of them to 0.05 in my file). I also use these mods and want to avoid giving myself an unfair advantage for valuing my time, maybe you agree with me! Here's a cheatsheet just in case you want to change the values in Thunderstore

@@thejojomonado3647 i believe that even though the time added by the balancer helps to offset some of the benefit gained from having faster interactables, it doesn't eliminate it - for example with the faster interactables mod i could feasibly scrap and print to my advantage mid-fight if needed, whereas without it i couldn't do that (Race's video "Strategies on Turning Around a Losing Run" demonstrates this example well, starting at around 10:30 in that video). there's a tangible downside to having to hang around a scrapper or printer while mid-stage since enemies can swarm the position, forcing you to either fight or leave basically i feel that there's a real tangible impact on gameplay by having to sit and wait for the full animation of scrapping and printing and i want my eclipse grind to generally be as "purist" and vanilla as possible, but once my grind is over i feel that i've "proven" myself and earned myself the right to download more QoL mods that slightly / moderately affect gameplay ultimately it's just how i think about it and doesn't mean i think anyone shouldn't do it and that they're in the wrong if they do, more power to them

An eclipse mod could reduce the amount of credits each map has, so less items per stage. I don't know where I'd place that but definitely before E8 xd

For a new Eclipse 9 modifier, you could have all chests cost HP like the void cradle (not at the same rate of 50%) but that way, because of the eclipse 8 modifier you only have a limited number of chests per run you are able to take.

Giving it like 7minutes of thought, I might have something interesting for eclipse. Given that E8 is difficult enough, E9 has to have some sort of modifier that focuses solely on how the player plays. I did get to see in the comments a form of rain that continually gets more heavy, making the player focus a lot more on time constraits and efficiency. It's stuff like that that would have not only a still enjoyable experience, but it would make ROR2 races that teeny bit more exciting to watch. Now comes the fun part. Eclipse X is DLC exclusive. Hold your horses, I know that sounds kinda bad, BUT it's the idea for it that I feel balances it out. Eclipse X has specific modifiers depending on the said DLC that you chose, and would give drastically more difficult challenges amongst it. For now we only have void, but HOPEFULLY there's more to come in the future. For Void in Eclipse X, not only will EVERY level have a void seed that must be cleansed (wishy washy about it cuz it sounds TOO difficult), but every form of void damage dealt to you would be permanent, in the form of Decay. Doesn't sound too bad! That is until you realize that Mithrix isn't the final boss anymore, it's the Voidling. Hell, I just made up another example. Say we DO get another DLC that's named "Fear of Fauna" or something that revolves around overgrown and evergreen enemies. For THAT modifier, every enemy that has that growth in them has Thorns. If you deal damage to it, you'll take damage yourself! And you fight it's respective boss, win the game, whatever. I feel like flipping everything on it's head for a prized title like EX just seems normal. Plus, I think it's time we stop bullying Mr. Moonman. The damn thing has died 1 too many times imo. Aight had my fun, go away now.

I dont know how good of an idea this would be (im new to the game) but i think i have a cool idea on how they could add more eclispe levels, So when you beat eclipse 8 on a character you can "ascend" a character. That character would go back to eclipse 1, but there would be a random (from a pool of maybe 12 or 16)very strong effect, such as "20% less chests" or something. I also think they should add a way to go back eclipse levels
