Edited: didn't realize this was point out actually, commented way too early into the video but I wanna keep it up for anyone who sees it 5:41 luminous shot is quirky because it DOES have a 1.0 proc co but it just gets cut off in the order of operation like near immediately, so like shustice and scorpion work iirc but stuff like bleed, atg, stickies etc etc (pretty much 90% of the items) Playing with this and testing it and updating the gg wiki to It drove me insane

If Luminous Shot could actually stack and did more damage than a single commando bullet, it'd be pretty cool

I just realized that luminous shot being able to activate off anything after using m1 is probably an oversight by the devs, it is probably intended to work like that so shuriken can activate luminous shot but an unintended side effect of this is that anything after using m1 activates luminous shot

The use of Sale Star in this video made an equipment idea pop into my head, a one use equipment that recloses a chest. Don’t know how good that actually would be

It is a bit sad that all of the new enemies just don't have functioning pathfinding, I've felt like I've had to disable all of them so that children aren't just running in circles bugged out on the opposite side of the map

My favorite part of luminous shot is that it’s so easy to do the glitch accidentally on huntress and have the damage happen on her glaives instead of her arrows

3:53 Luminous Shot is only good on Acrid. I did a bunch of testing a few months ago with it after finding this "feature" of the item. There are a few other survivors who can do similar things with it, but Acrid has highest base damage and LS scales of base damage. I forget all of what I tested since it's been a while, but huntress was one of the worst with it. Activating glaive is really slow and huntress has to be targeting something to use it, making this feature almost useless for her. It's pretty good on a character like commando since he can fire m1 and m2 at the same time and has a high rate of fire. I expected it to be game breaking on multi, but his base damage ends up making LS damage pretty lackluster. I recorded a bunch of test footage for each character and haven't looked at it in a while so I'm just going off of what I can remember at the moment. Tldr; Characters with high base damage and easy to use secondary skills can use Luminous Shot pretty effectively. Acrid has the highest base damage and can spam m1 and m2 at the same time, which allows whatever his next source of damage to cause Luminous Shot to proc. If you have any questions, let me know. :)

I think what partly makes luminous shot so rough is what abilities you have to use to charge and proc. If they were on your most used and hardest hitting abilities respectively it would a world of a difference. Like if it charged through mando 1 then proc on 2 or 4. And it could be different abilities like proc on engi harpoons or something

I would just make Luminous shot a alternative to The bands, get rid of the +charge on stack and just make it a flat 50% (+50%) per charge on any damage source made by the player. Also change it so primary charges it, I think Rebar Mul-T is the only survivor who would actually benefit from a single instance separate damage shot on their primary. You got a 250% increase to whatever attack you made, worse damage than a band and requires precision to use but you can do it more often.

I think it really speaks to how undertuned luminous shot is, the game basically handed you the perfect opportunity to make a shot build & it was still extremely middling in terms of damage +25% damage per stack really isn't it

Working on nect hit for luminous shot would be so cool and usable for burst builds its crazy
