You guus need ProFab to set up some sort of removable top and sides for Leroy that can easily mount to the cage abd latch on and still be completely removable for racing. Kind of like pick up truck bed clamps are removable. Someone could design some clamps to mount on the cage and then the roof and "door" panels latch to the mounts and can be on and off relatively quickly.

A hitch isolator is a 2" square U bolt and a piece of angle iron. Tractor Supply has the U bolt you need. JamesFab can whip that up for you.

Cleetus, 4x8 is 850 pounds empty, worked for uhaul for 4 years edit: unless it's one of the new honeycomb composite ones then it's like 500. You can try to request one of the new ones if you want when you pick up in CO.

Some uhauls are shit, most of the centers are ok, "neighborhood dealer" bad. But it'll be completely up to what trailers came into the area since they'll put you in a one way. Definitely get a reservation in out there early.

Just remember, 4/5 point racing harnesses are dangerous on the street if you don't have a hans device. If you still have regular belts in Leroy make sure you use them while driving on the street.

untrue. running a harness with just a harness bar can be risky in some cars but if the car has a full cage, itll be no problem at all. harnesses work best in conjunction with roof reinforcement. child seats dont have this issue because theyre way smaller and an adult and a roll over most likely wont affect them inside a car seat the way it would if an adult were strapped in a 5 point, sans cage. if 5 point harnesses were actually dangerous, infants and toddlers wouldnt be strapped in using them.

@@OxBlitzkriegxO It's not the cage that's the problem, its that you're neck/head is not supported while your torso is strapped in tight. If you get in an accident it's going to fling your head around while your torso stays still. You don't want that to happen, trust me. I've had 3 c-spine fusions because my neck is screwed, it's not fun.

Got 2 ideas for your ride..a crazy one and a practical one. Crazy one: Put an airhorn on your blowoff valves and steer the valves with the bald eagle button. Practical one: Build some snap on sheet metal for roof and side panels as rain protection with your round frame should this an easy task.

You should get a snap-on soft top for Leroy for the trip. Have a boat cover place make it for you. You could have doors and windows made with it as well. Keep the cockpit fully waterproof and enclosed.
