This cast probably had the most amazing women, no wonder they stayed close. It seems like they had a lot of deep conversation while they were filming.

LOVED this conversation!! I feel like this is what we all wanted when the issue took place. However, maybe some weren’t ready or willing to listen. Thank you Rachel for speaking about times that weren’t easy and thank you ladies for asking such good questions.

I must say what stood out to me is when Bri said, "Matt allowed me to date out" then she retracted and said, " to date black men". I'm not familiar with her, but I assume she has a black father whom she's probably had a complicated relationship with which maybe led her to her forming unfair negative stereotypes and generalizations pertaining to black men that she has probably reconciled as an adult. Also, when she said, "Matt allowed me to date out" (emphasis on out) and then corrected herself, I couldn't help but to think that black men have been so distant and very unfamiliar to Bri (by choice), that she instinctively felt like dating black men was akin to dating outside of her own race. Wow...that is unbelievable.

I really loved this podcast. The fact that Bree and Matt, both people of colour, still maintain a close relationship with Rachel, for me is more than a testament of the type of person she is. She handled herself with a lot of grace throughout this entire situation and still does.

Rachael when you walked out of the limo just the way you and Matt saw each other I knew it was more then a physical connection but your both soul mates and I’m sure Matt knew that and when he voiced that to producers they went on a hunt to go as far as to fetch something negative about you.. it was a blessing in disguise because you have grown so much. Also, this has shun a light on the reality of what happens in fraternity and things need to change. You and Matt did the right thing to stay away from the franchise and show your love story to the world and speak the truth with such grace and that is why your both so admired 🤩🤎 will forever watch your love story unfold via social media 🤗

WOW I loved loved this conversation. Finally!! Rachel’s growth is incredible. I’m recognizing that white ppl in general grew up ignorant-and we’re ignorant of the history behind things we do/did for fun. We didn’t know or question it or care to learn the meaning behind it and how it impacts others. Ignorance is bliss (for yourself), but it hurts others-without any malice or intention, it hurts.***Every generation is ignorant to what experiences came before them.*** It’s up to us to want to learn and grow and become truly self-aware of what we do/say/think. We didn’t used to have the tools to question everything & get the real answers but we do now. I’ve learned that all white ppl come from “privilege”-just by being born white vs of color we have a leg up. There’s no excuse not to learn from BLM and conversations such as these. Personal growth is up to ALL of us. THANK YOU for the reminder and keep up the conversation 🙏 ❤ TIPS: Change watch speed to 1.25, & starting at 11 min. in they get to the meat of it-what the show wanted vs what Matt did, Rachel & Bri’s experience, and by 20 min in begins the major growth Rachel went thru.

Enjoyed the conversation. I love how Ses asked pointed questions and forced Rachel to go deeper and not give superficial responses. It looks like you edited out some really key points in the conversation, including Ses' point about having the language to articulate the minority experience. When such edits are obvious, it can seem like transparency is compromised and valuable insights lost, so please re-consider that.

Matts women were so amazing. Really. I honestly was so hurt when I saw those photos leak. I don’t think people understand how alienating and sickening it feels to see the pain of your people perpetuated like that. I was not ready to hear a thing out of Rachel at the time. Especially since I liked her at the start of the season. I am really relieved to hear that Rachel didn’t intentionally perpetuate racism. Sadly racism persists in this franchise. beyond repair, very likely. I hate that Rachel had to endure the ire of the press, but I also hate that today I endured racism in my life at my job and none of those people will be held accountable. This was a great conversation, ladies. You should be proud ❤

I think we need to have empathy and grace to point out others actions as potentially hurtful/offensive and or perpetuating racism….but allowing them the chance to learn and hear it before assuming peoples character in the moment. Obviously if something is obviously hateful and ill-intentioned then ofc different story. But I think this situation with Rachael was a good example and eye opener for all of us to have a moment of grace and help each other better understand, and overall do better. if that makes sense? Not disagreeing with you at all! I also love the full circle love and conversation that has come from that situation

@@duncan3781 It’s nice to know the full story now, but I was perfectly happy to never know it. Way to often I’m made to feel like racism I’ve observed/ experience can be explained away. The focus should be on condemning the wrongdoing and atonement. Where’s the grace for the victims? For Matt? For the viewers? Rachel Lindsay? See what I mean? I never made any comments disparaging Rachel and I have grace for her, that’s how I was able to hear her now. But let’s not conflate grace and excuses. This franchise has a pattern of emboldening racist. So does this country. I stand firmly against racism and I don’t have grace for racism act.

@@passengerprincesspodcast I feel as if it’s better you did know the story though, no? To know she was ignorant and made a mistake instead of intentionally racist. I didn’t mean for my comment for to use grace as a reason to excuse poor behavior. More so in the light of forgiveness and appreciation for knowledge and growth. I think the younger generations are navigating through prior generational ideals and breaking through to a place of love and that’s something to support each other in. That’s all I meant I promise ❤️

@@duncan3781 you know the phrase intention doesn’t change the action? Example, if you get shot by accident, you bleed all the same. That’s what I’m saying. So when this all went down, I really heard out rachel Lindsay and felt for Matt because they were hurt by actions. They were wounded. They needed intentionI see what you mean too. Now that Rachel Lindsay has taken a step back and Matt and Rachel are stronger, now I’ll hear her out. After the initial fall out is done. I totally agree with you though. It’s in the best interest of us all that we listen with grace and forgiveness in our hearts. Your doing well to chat about it with me 🙏🏾

It was very clear that the producers were targeting and wanting Matt to pick a black bachelorette. That's why they brought in another 5 contestants. Then clearly apparent to me when Rachel had that parachuting accident and they were not even that concerned or gave her any air time. It baffled us. Great podcast ladies.

I feel like Rachael should acknowledge that Chris Harrison was trying to help her out… I don’t think he was trying to justify anything, only trying to let her speak. He may have sided that he thought the party wasn’t something to get super worked up over, but I think that had more to do with him knowing Rachael’s true character after getting to know her on the show. That’s just my take, but I don’t think people needed to blame her for him getting fired. That’s pretty silly

This might not be a welcomed comment, but responding to the question of why “The Host” defended Rachel… I always thought he was doing his best to protect the lead’s final choice. If Matt choosing Rachel was a “failure” as it was, and then this whole conversation happened while the season was airing, I assumed the show wanted to save the season.
@janeryan2709

Rachael addressed that at the end of this video. It was clear based on how defensive Harrison got in that interview that he was not solely trying to defend Matt and Rachael and protect the final choice. He was revealing what he truly thought.

Well, you're wrong and clearly biased if you haven't changed such a wrong opinion after so much time. Rachel literally did her job. @little dumpling I think that experience could hold some realness for you but ultimately it really really pales in comparison to the actual reality in how black people were(at times still are) treated in America. It wasnt slight tension in a white neighborhood for black people, it was murder, assault, and fraudulent criminal charges. You may experience tension and hardship within your community as you say but I think commenting this specifically on this video is just blehh. Watch the video, listen, learn, consume the content. This isnt your moment tbh and I promise I am not trying to be mean but just being real with you.
