If you look at the Spokane NAACP site you can see how she claims to be the victim of hate crimes.. Honestly think this issue is far deeper than just faking her race.. She's defining herself as a victim and has created an identity for herself that is noticeable and important enough to matter to people and to be victimized. This is identity/existential crisis from a woman who lacks substance an relevancy and knows it who would rather create one as opposed to earn an identity worth noticing. I just wish she would apologize, accept accountability for her actions and begin rebuilding her life again. I think she has done great things for my community but using your privilege to be “trans-racial” is just not ok because I can’t choose to identify as white. I can’t change my hair texture, skin complexion, or the institutional oppression that comes with my identity as a black woman. As smart as she is, I can’t believe she didn’t think about the fact that a lie will always catch up to you. Rachel Dolezal said she identifies as being African American personally, not just because she is an activist or professional. You say you cannot change into a white person, however there are some mixed race African Americans that have "passed as white", and many have gotten privileged treatment for looking closer to being European. Is that fair? I think it's unfair that Rachel's life has so far been ruined over this. She was eventually reduced to doing adult videos on OnlyFans and was fired from her job when discovered. Obviously she's deeply insecure and troubled.

I don't get whats wrong with it. You got people out there buying skin lightening creams to make themselves lighter. People can change their hair, eye colour, heck even get surgury to look like a different person. If she wants to look this way and identify as how some people in society will view her, why not. I mean Micheal jackson was born black, but due to skin condition his skin started to change colour. He got hair straightening, surgury and skin bleaching to combat the uneven tones in his skin, in the end he looked like how society would view white. If he wasn't famous and you met him, he wouldn't be treated as a black man. Black and white are just lables, in reality we are all human. Society has built these lables to put on ourselves, in the end race is a social concept. If thats what makes her comfortable, if thats how she wants to be then why the hell not? Is that not backwards, like saying that black women can go on dyeing their skins light and thats okay to become more white lookin, but it cant be the other way around? We got men becoming women and women becoming men and its completely okay. You got people paying to get surgury looking like celebs all the time, you are in the end looking like someone else. Newsflash, not all "white people" are the sama genes, heck a man who is black and a man who is white can be more closely related than someone who has same skin colour. So if a person can get surgury to look like another celeb, why not this. There are worse things in the world to be upset on than a girl looking how she wants, and identifying as to what suits her in socitys eyes.

You sound like a fool , the woman said she was black and she wasn't. She is white and to respond to your comment about black women using cream to make there skin lighter that different because there not claiming to be white but a light skin black woman. Get it right !

I agree!! Why do people care? She did positive things in the black community. It's not like she made her self look black then went out destroying stuff. People need to realise that we are all the same. All of us are people with souls that are all connected to one another. Who cares what we look like or want to look like.

She isn't black. Her parents are white therefore she is white.
@Fusionv48 жыл бұрын
What's wrong with it well let's see she's not black. She was a black activist and she actually profited off of her lie pretending to be black. She lied to everyone around her and basically pulled a giant con. Race is something you can change you are born a certain race it's not something you can just say is different because you want it to be. It's completely fucked up that she profited off of her "black struggles" and built her life on a lie.

She thinks she can play black. Like it's something you do for fun. That tells me she actually doesn't have much respect for black people or what blacks deal with despite her "activism". Either that or the black people in her life have been too welcoming. To the point where she thought it was okay to play black

Amazing, she really wants to be black. I wonder if she apologize will we give her a pass. I think she has did her part with our community. i think we are being a bit hard on her, yes she lied but she made great things happen for the community by being a poser. Give her a get out of jail card.
