For those who know Leslie Knope's obsession with Joe Biden it's very wholesome that Amy and Joe Biden were the first guests on Seth's show 🤗❤️
@griffinmathers929 Жыл бұрын
Why is that wholesome? I'm thinking that word has some new meaning. It's coincidental or very good booking to have them on. (Ooh, the New York Times says this is a Gen Z Compliment "examples: A monkey riding on a piglet's back, or two people on opposite sides of a foggy window playing Tic Tac Toe") huh. She says she’s an Eight and then went on to describe a lot of the characteristics of a counterphobic Six. It’s awesome that she’s talking about the Enneagram but I feel like she got the types mixed up. She literally said “I value safety and security,” which are core Six values. But I guess she also said "I have no idea what I’m talking about,” so 😂
@TempfromChiswick2 жыл бұрын
I agree that she's not an 8. She doesn't have the commanding, 'I'm in charge' vibe of an 8. I wonder if she's actually a 7 because she's confident, upbeat, fun, a good anecdotalist + she gets things done. Maybe she has a 6 wing?
@SarahADowney2 жыл бұрын
@@TempfromChiswick Yeah, I could see a 7w6 or a 6w7 far more over 8. It was the "I want to know who's in charge" piece that made me think more 6w7, because Sixes are hyper aware of authority. Eights are hyper aware of *power* and power dynamics, but that and authority aren't always the same thing.
@TempfromChiswick2 жыл бұрын
@@SarahADowney , good point re: authority vs power 👍
@Introvert_Honey2 жыл бұрын
I think she meant that she values safety and security which is why she wants to be in charge: it’s the only way she feels safe and secure. Sixes are usually introverted personalities who do not want to be in charge, as they’re too busy preparing for the apocalypse.

Enneagram!!!
@StorytellingHeadshots2 жыл бұрын
It makes me sad to hear the Enneagram described as a 'personality test'. Actually it's a way to diagnose your personal spiritual sickness ( and hopefully help you to find a remedy.) Your 'number' is actually your personal 'poison' it's the thing you go to to 'heal' yourself, but that is actually pushing you further from your destination. So the person who is a "3" is a high achiever, but that's because the 3 has a wound from childhood that causes them to believe they need to 'perform' to earn love. If you discover you are a 3, you are not meant to then think of that as you 'personality' but rather to be able to find the CURE for the 3 ( which is accepting that you will be loved for yourself, not for what you do.) By knowing that, if you 'are a '3' you can hold a mirror up to yourself and see that the very thing you are trying to use to 'earn love' is what keeps you from receiving love. Treating the Enneagram as just a personality quiz is like getting a medical diagnosis and then instead of treating it, going around and saying "I am a Breast Cancer....isn't that fun? Oh and YOU are a Broken Arm!" ---in other words the point of the Enneagram isn't to label, but as a means to see your "sickness" clearly, or the thing that you are going to for help that actually is tripping you up---and then to be able to enact treatment for that spiritual wound that is holding you back from being whole. It's a powerful tool. Don Riso and Russ Hudson wrote a comprehensive book that is one of the best resources, also Helen Palmer has excellent books on the spiritual roots of the Enneagram and how it can be used for self-understanding and growth.

Enneagram - the new astrology. Srsly, my level 10 critique of Gurdjieff, et al - inside info - he got half the training. Sufis often direct students to a certain school for training in Spirit Mind Heart Body. What I got from all the Gurdjieff works in the 70s, tons of feedback from different lineages in Sufism, and my own experience of teachers influenced by G. was that the lineage was only Mind and Body. Very Western/Form/Matter/Hard Science. Not saying the stuff is wrong, it's actually quite good stuff, just not the whole of it all. No Heart or Spirit. Be interesting for folks to fill the other levels in. Maybe that's happening, anyone?
