Vote blue top to bottom is the first defense but some states have altered laws so they can pick electors contrary to the vote and others have made changes to ensure repub victory. The second line of defense is the military, all of whom swore to defend, not the president, not the congress, not the extreme court, but the constitution. Sadly, this is where we are and I hope they meant it when they swore that oath, as well as today. I hope the generals meant it.

No, actually, according to the constitution, Congress has the power to impeach supreme Court justices. It's the checks and balances written into the constitution by our founders. But Congress didn't act swift enough with Trump and I doubt they will do anything about the supreme Court. I am a former Republican and voted all Blue the last few cycles hoping that the Democrats would steer us back on track and hold those accountable who should be held accountable and they have dragged their feet or do nothing. Multiple people should have been impeached for what happened on January 6th and amendments to the constitution should have been made and laws made clear so it could never happen again, but no. Did nothing. I feel like the only brave people who love this country anymore and who understand what is happening are people like Liz Cheney and former Republicans who see what is going on and are brave enough to speak the truth and fight for our Constitutional Republic. I love Rachel Maddow and think she is right about a lot of things, but Roberts can't kick them off the court. Congress needs to step up.

On my way out the door this morning, I shared my elevator ride with a young woman. I mentioned to her that I had been researching Project 2025 and asked her if she was familiar. She said she had never heard of it. So then I pressed further and asked her how she would feel about a national abortion ban. She shook her head. I told her she needed to vote BLUE in November. I was disappointed that she didn't know about this far-right manifesto that's the playbook for a second Trump term of office. I hope she isn't indicative of her generation. I would say she's _opportunistic._ If she's at this position after having served in the Trump administration, it means she is well connected and she sees the writing on the wall for MAGA, assuming Donald loses in November.
