Fwiw, other Rachel Remen interviews can be found on YT. Thanking both Jeffrey and Dr. Remen for this conversation. The notion of trading wholeness for approval hit deeply - so much so that I'm going to explore more of her work.

I have just read Remen's book, "Kitchen Table Wisdom." It's an extraordinary gem, packed with wisdom, compassion, understanding, and spirituality. I had to put the book down often, to absorb and reflect upon all that Dr. Remen offers her readers, patients, and colleagues. Think of this video clip as an appetizer to a great banquet for our souls.

This is such a good series of interviews. I want to thank Jeffrey Mishlove for his excellent work in choosing and interviewing with such clarity and spontaneity the guests on his show. I have enjoyed a number of interviews and they are all of high quality and depth that is just a gift and joy to listen to them. Wonderful stuff.

This segment of the interview with Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen was truly powerful to listen to! I am inspired by her commitment to treating people in a holistic way. Her idea of developing relationship centered care is so important! As a cancer survivor and now thriver, I had read her book Kitchen Table Wisdom: Stories That Heal, and felt real help in her words years ago during treatment. Today, after seeing this video, I again find her words powerful, sincere, and caring.

Do your own thing...Reminds me of Aesop: The grasshopper and the ants: as retold in politically correct fairy tales.
