Being from Rotherham I am sick of hearing people in the MSM deflect from the main issue. Why have no councillors, social workers, police, teachers or NHS staff been jailed? They all knew what was going on. For example, a victom told Andrew Marr this week that her groomer was given a council contract for taxi services.

Did you see the long list of Labour MPs and councillors implicated in CP over the years? Pretty clear how complicit they've been by their the loose stories popping out, their repeated evasive behaviour and ass covering, and the reports of the victims. It’s hardly been mentioned that the Jay Inquiry was originally chaired by a New Zealand judge. She was chosen because she was an outsider. She reigned after a few months for reasons that are unclear. Follow legal advice, she refused to attend and give evidence to a Parliamentary Committee when the report was produced. When she resigned, she was replaced by Jay, an academic social worker and a very definite insider of the organisations that failed these children.

Why? The Times has always been the home of 'guilty tories' - soft-right middle class types who think of themselves as above the cranky fogies of the Telegraph or the Sun/Daily Mail rabble. The budget, by itself, wasn’t the issue - it’s the ongoing lack of any plan that will deliver growth, or more sustainable public services. The Chancellor talks a good game but the substance just isn’t there.

Please stop trying to make the rape cases political. It doesn't matter if the conservatives didn't implement many of the steps despicable though it is. The fact is we need to find the truth no matter how long.it takes by having an inquiry. How would Julie feel and want to happen if she or someone close to her was rapid. You would want an inquiry by an independent body.

There has been a national inquiry and many of the issues Juliet talks of has been covered. Now the Labour Party has said it will implement the recommendations the Tories refused to. The Tories ruled out another inquiry but now demand one. Rod L is correct to call this political opportunism.

There is no techno fix without pumping water in from neighbouring states (also subject to climate change). In that the whole insurance industry has washed its hands shows that there will be millions of economic climate casualties int eh future, who are left to fend for themselves.
