Ro I can't wait to see an actual trained musical theatre performer play a lead in a movie musical! Her legit voice is so strong and just soars, these days so many actors who try to sing in movies end up sounding strained and warbled or sing them in different keys because they can't hit the notes as they were written. She is going to conquer the film as soon as she starts singing Tonight.

Having just seen West Side Story today, I am now binging all of Rachel's work. Absolutely amazing. Having read all of her lovely comments to people, she is also charmingly humble and "normal". If there was ever a young lady destined for superstardom, it's Rachel Zegler.

I was wondering why they'd cast her vocal type for Maria - now I get it! She can sing Maria no problem. She's very talented - great stage presence too - your eye is drawn to her. "The Essence of Cosette." I watched a lot of musical Les Miserable, but Rachel is the best Cosette I have ever seen. (I think that Rachel is better than other actors who played Cosette in Broadway or WestEnd. Because her voice is really clear and her breath is really good and stable. In addiction, Rachel's face expression acting is really good.) I think I know why Mr. Spielberg cast her in his movie West Side Story. She is a really good singer and actor.
