This sense of entitlement probably started when she starred in a high school musical, and exploded when she got the coveted role of Maria in the West Side Story reboot. The problem for her was that WSS bombed, and was not wanted by anyone, This was a rare tone-deaf move by Speilberg. The 1961 version was a major success, but was very much of its time. Singing and dancing street gang members was ludicrous for 2021. The final nail was the casting of effeminate (but accused sexual abuser) Ansel Elgort as Tony.

Most of the studio contracts include clauses that prevent actors from sabotaging productions by penalizing them for saying or doing anything injurious to the success of the film. Penalties can be "Fines" or terminations. Disney has ample grounds provided by Zegler to enact the clauses of those contracts and allow them to fire her from the various projects. Use of these clauses goes WAY back to the early days of the studio system [1920's] and many actors have been terminated AND blacklisted for various reasons deemed to be in violation of those clauses.

Disney could very well countersue her for multiple contract breaches. Three Snow White movies? I don't believe it. How self-destructive Disney has become. Disney needs to stop doing live-action remakes and sequels and try to make something original such as a live-action film starring the gorgon Medusa. 01:08: Disney HAS to use CGI dwarfs at this point because the movie has already been shot. If they hired real little people for the roles NOW, they would have probably pay through the nose for them after snubbing them the first time, and they would have to completely re-shoot 2/3 of the movie and it's already obscenely over any reasonable budget. It's what? 650 million NOW? Re-shooting most of the movie with real little people on top of all the OTHER expenses would likely push it over a BILLION, and it ALREADY has no hope of breaking even. Here's the thing, to be an It Girl and get all of that, you have to be Likable. Rachel Zegler, isn't. She feels entitled to all of it, without actually having to work towards it, or even suck up her pride and apologize to everyone she hurt. She may not think it's a big deal, because she doesn't like the movie even as a kid, that's fine. But to trash it, for everyone who loves Snow White, that hurt a lot of people.
