So open and honest.. thank you! My daughter is going through puberty and two seasons of injury... she's tough as nails but also human and can get frustrated. There are few places on the internet unfortunately that address very common concerns. Looking forward to seeing you ace it again when the next season begins.

What a hip clunk!!! I cringed so hard, but even watching that physio felt satisfying. Thanks for these videos. It's so good to learn how female badasses like you, do what you do. From period chat to getting back from serious injury and all the mental effort required. I'm an anaesthetist (so slightly different job!) and I have my battle triggers for on call shifts too. Walking into work to Britney Spears gets you going for a night shift then putting on my kit focuses the mind. Theres so much we can all learn from each other about keeping our minds strong.

Loved this. No, not asleep I watched every second. I've followed all 3 of your careers over the years, and while I've seen you race many times, getting to hear you talk about what's going on in your life makes you even more real. Keep on going, and I hope you have many, MANY more wins over the upcoming years.

Routine & rituals put your mind in the right place instinctively. The popping of the red bull can tab. ( think there is a commercial there) I hate throwing up nerves. It's the worst feeling. I'm surprised the exercise warm up doesn't help. I know from my work experience that as soon as the job starts it disappears instantly.

@@RachelAtherton1 Yeah, most people think it's just about hitting the gym and going for a nice leisurely ride down a mountain :D Same goes for artists before they hit the stage too, nerves can be such a big thing. But what the public see is just a tiny bit of the whole process.

I love her! Such insight and such an incredible career. Definitely a role model. I've never met a professional athlete who actually drank the energy drinks they were sponsored by (maybe very occasionally). I'm curious to know how many Redbulls she actually drinks every day/week/month. I knew professional athletes who would replace their sponsored energy drink with water but still drink out of the can/bottle. I don't know why I wanted to share that... I just felt like kids get the short end of the stick here because they believe in energy drinks. At Crankworx you would see hoards of kids 8-14 years old going nuts over the free energy drinks.

I have a little'un who's learning to ride...they're pretty good but still has spills. They like the DHs and has had a few spills...although me and mum always come a running after, she's always been smiling when we've got there 😆 Hit a pot hole with their front wheel doing at least 15mph a few weeks back...x'ed up handlebars, torpedoed off to the side in the moist clay mud and just layed there tangled up in their bike chuckling 😆 they're tougher than you think, however, they need a proper helmet..no messin'!
