And you actually don't need a credit score but it can make things easier, as long as you are responsible with your credit
@RetroGeekCollective8 жыл бұрын
You CAN go without a credit score. But then you have to pay everything in full. Cars, homes, everything, sometimes young people, such as the ones she is directing this towards, don't realize the cost of a car or house. Like she said you won't be able to rent a decent apartment, rent a car, sign up for Directv, she only mentioned directv but this goes for any contracted service such as cell phone service as well, they will all require a credit check. 😫😫😫😫 Credit and taxes is all so complicated.

@khaliachap90638 жыл бұрын
i think they still teach it, but only in one grade in elementary school. i learned it in third grade and all my siblings after have too
@ericaschaidt85888 жыл бұрын
You're best bet for cursive may be to get a workbook from the store and practice. (and that goes for anyone interested) I've picked up some for my kids because around here they've dropped it from the curriculum. I understand how important technology/computers have become but it still seems as if there is a place for cursive. From reading older documents to as you said signing your name.

difference between credit cards and debt cards
@krisdolgach35188 жыл бұрын
+
@katherinestahl76418 жыл бұрын
With a credit card, when you buy things with it you get billed later the amount you owe. A debit card is connected directly to your bank account and when you buy something the money gets taken out of your bank account when you purchase. Basically a debit card is just a convenient way of paying for things without withdrawing money and paying with cash. Debit cards don't affect your credit score at all. Hope this helps a bit! :)
@lillynguyen97058 жыл бұрын
+Katherine Stahl can u earned credits with debt card

Then what is debit ?? 😂😂
@jamiefjf8 жыл бұрын
Debit is having the money to pay for something before you purchase, If you don't pay credit off you end up paying interest on owed balances, so end up paying more then the original amount you spent! Credit is short term borrowing where you owe the money until you can afford to pay them back (e.g. You need pay a bill but you have no money and your pay check is due end of the month, pay the bill on your credit card knowing you can pay that back end of the month) pay the balance - no interest or charges, can't afford to pay the balance? You've still paid the bill but can pay it back in parts with your card! All credit cards have a minimum and full payment, pay the minimum avoids late payment fee but you still owe money and incur interest, paying off in full each month means you pay nothing more than what you have spent! Banks charge interest to fund running a credit card for you! Hope this helps :) x
@adamemac8 жыл бұрын
Debit cards are connected to your checking and savings account at a bank. When you use debit, the $ is paid from your checking account. All debit cards are ATM cards. ATM machines at banks and other places give you your own money when you want it. Hope that helped. : )
@jessicapurgason56808 жыл бұрын
+Jamie Fairhurst I bet that was helpful😂
@ericaschaidt85888 жыл бұрын
basically debit is the quicker way of writing a check. It used to be if you didn't have the cash on hand and hadn't gotten to an atm if you wanted to pay you would write a check. then the money would be withdrawn from your account. Most stores or many don't run checks or if they do they do so electronically and basically like a debit card and the withdrawal is instant. A debit card gives you point of sale access to the money in your bank account a credit card is the ability to pay for things via credit. you still have to pay it back however with the possibility of interest.

I'm pretty sure in Britain there are credit scores because I've seen adverts about it. I'm not sure it's quite in the same way as it is in America
@LadyAurian8 жыл бұрын
No, not necessarily. Where I'm from credit cards are more likely to be seen as a bad thing, because you are spending money you don't "have". Debit cards are the norm, and paying bills on time is how you show you're trustworthy when it comes to money. Are debit cards the norm where you are from? If they are, you probably don't have that system.
