So many of Kristin Hannah’s books tug at your emotions! Firefly lane definitely made me cry the most out of the ones I’ve read so far. The only other one I shed actual tears for was the great alone (so good) and I was close with basically every other one I’ve read. Slowly making my way through her back list!

I put The Way of Kings off for so long but finally started it this year and I’m already on the third book in the series, I’ve become obsessed haha! And Kristin Hannah’s books always make me think and feel all the things, she’s so good at creating real characters and bringing out so many complicated emotions ❤️ These are two of my favorite authors so I’m so happy you loved both of these books!! HIGHLY recommend reading True Colors by Kristin Hannah. One of her less hyped books but a beautifully tragic love story and one of my favorites of hers. I had the chance to go to her book tour for The Women and she actually said that Firefly Lane was the book she wrote after her mom passed with cancer where she really allowed herself to discover her mother as an adult. They were going to write the book together and only go to the first page before she passed. 😢 So glad to see more book girlies are reading her

Hi Rach I was wondering if you could talk about how you balance reading and your relationship with God? I felt convicted a few months ago to completely stop reading (especially romance) because God revealed to me that it was becoming an idol in my life and I was putting more focus on the books I was reading, more than my relationship with Him 😭 have you ever had this experience or felt any sort of conviction about how often you read? I’d love to hear your experience on it from one believer to another 🥺🫶🏼 ily xx

As my father says "Everything in moderation". As long as reading doesn't completely take over your life and prevent you from doing other things then you're good.
@h.bm034 ай бұрын
i love this comment. sometimes it’s hard to prioritize time. i suggest reading christian books/romance to spend time with Him and still get reading in! also set a routine for bible time or worship etc! He still will love you in the end!
