Yes, this was her prime. Unbelievable back then. She sang with Patti LaBelle she sang with everybody and could hold her own with anybody. Vocal preeminence. FYI, one of the best live tribute performances in the history of television is Patti Labelle’s tribute to Frank Sinatra. And her band and background singers were dope, dope, dope. You haven’t reviewed it yet. You really need to. Frank stood up for her that night, and he only stood up for her and Stevie. It will convince you of her LEGENDARY status In the pantheon of greatest singers and entertainers in the history of the world

I don't really get her. If she has such good singing capabilities why does she chose to sing so god damn weird. Never heard her sing a song 'straight' without making these faces and sounds as if she had sudden facial paralysis. She's a jazz singer. When you sing in order to get certain ranges and tones, your mouth opens very wide, lips turn, etc. Not trying to look pretty. You must be a music critic. She's a phenomenal singer, but hey to each his own.
