God, her talent speaks for itself, but her WORDS and answers in interviews can just go straight to the soul, and the mind, too. Ask her any question, about anything, and the answer will be guaranteed to blow your mind. Just a simple, “how are you?” …Now that person just learned three new things about life in three minutes. Love Rachelle.

this woman has so much talent why she doesn't get the recognition that she deserves, is beyond me

Perhaps if talent (artistry, and authenticity) yielded such recognition, she would get as much as she deserves. Regardless, Rachelle Ferrell is- by far- my favorite singer. What a beautiful soul.

BlackMusicAmerica Dunno know if you guys still keep up with Rachelle, if you do; tell her she has made and is making such a HUGE impact on the lives and hearts of others. When I look at her music videos and interviews, I would be hard pressed to see anything negative about her; and you know how keyboard warriors can be. I see whether its said in a comical way, or very moving way, the love people have for her. It really transcends even past that. She is eminently one of the purest,sweetest souls I have ever witnessed.I can say that without even having met her because you can hear it in her music, and the things she aspires to in her artistry. That uncanny transparency she shares that just makes you want to weep, because it resonates with something within your own heart. Whatever wounds are troubles you have, listening to her calms you. God truly is moving through her, and I don't think we at times fully grasp it. Sorry for the doctoral thesis. She has made people smile, cry, wanna be and do better. She has encouraged by her own staunch refusal to acquiesce to societal norms, others to do the same. Love this kind lady and I just thought she should know, soo many people around the world feel the same, and we thank God for her, and thank her for being a vessel. Also thank you for sharing such a priceless moment and her reflective thoughts.

her voice is just like mariahs, no wonder they both have the whistle register, she has a low husky and hoarse voice but can belt high like a soprano and has the whistle register
@MysticStranger6 жыл бұрын
Josiah Butler, funny how that is quite common. A woman who has a low husky voice and then just tears through the octaves unexpectedly when considering their low talking voice.

Vocalists simply learn to speak in proper chest, not to waste their voice on talking, plus it just sounds better.

Would looooove to see Mariah improv with Rachelle. The whistle harmonies! And the 2nd, 3rd octave riffing too. I think a conversation between the two of them would be eye-opening in innumerable ways… a musical convo as well as an interview, face to face! Mariah actually quoted her in an interview, as one of her early inspirations, along with Patti LaBelle. Also, interestingly, Mariah has said Carole King is one of her all time favorites, and I recently saw a video somewhere of Rachelle singing”You’re so far away, doesn’t anybody stay in one place anymore? It would be so fine to see your face at my door…” ✌🏼♥️

Great - love Rachelle Ferrell. Is that her band playing at around 5 minutes onwards? If anyone knows where that is from I'd love to know!

She was definitely born in 1961. In 1994 when I first heard of her on Showtime at the Apollo and tried to find tickets for when she visited my town, there was an article about the 33 year old singer and artist. She always looks younger than she is though LOL
