anne was very honest and communicated well her perspective on her experience. who wouldn't want to be in a movie with streep and tucci? lots to learn from those two.

I actually hated Emily’s character but she played it so well! I think Anne and Meryl were the front runners by far. js 🤷🏻♀️

People who hate someone but can't give a proper reason should be slapped on the face. They are the route of all the negativity happening in today's world.

I can give several, though I wouldn't call my reaction "hate." And I'd spell "root" correctly.

Yeah why all the Anne Hathaway hate? She just seems very happy to have worked on the movie and with people like Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci. Wish they could have interviewed Emily Blunt though. She was hilarious.

In the entertainment business this is the life. Working so hard to please someone and really never get any recognition or praise. But the thing I tell people is when Anne's Character figures out she has to think ahead of everyone and be ahead. That is what one can teach young ones trying to learn lessons in life.

Too funny that Hathaway admits it's not a dream role. She realized how outshone she was by Streep, Blunt and Tucci. Her character was boring and she was bland in it. Give her credit for giving an honest answer, though.
@VinnyDupree8 жыл бұрын
+dohaperson1 It has nothing to do with her, her personality or her acting ability, however, and I think your assessment of how "boring and bland she was," is a bit unfair. She was actually quite brilliant in this film. She took the character and she gave it justice. This book, this story, this film: I'll let you in on a little secret. They have very little to do with Andrea and everything to do with Miranda and the reality of the world that hits you after college. Andrea is the catalyst. Her character serves as the vessel that allows the viewer to see into the lives of these other characters, and Anne did a great job justifying that. There was nothing bland about Anne in this. One day you might learn how to separate an actress from the character she portrays and learn not to assess them as if they were the same literal person. You're allowed to have your opinion, of course. I just find your opinion to be wrong, is all.

Smart Woman! Extremely talented and it comes through in her other work. She's right is characterising her role as "the straight role" which often means toning things down so that the textures of the other characters stand out a bit more. NO SEQUEL! This movie was a brilliant stone and no other cutting of other stones will match it.
@AnnaLVajda3 жыл бұрын
Yeah well fashion can be very dramatic and she was not so that is why she seemed out of place and the straight person. It is a very detail oriented world too that scene when she can't tell the difference between subtle accessories emphasized she was not in her element there or did not love it.

What Anne didn’t realise is that if Meryl got her ‘straight’ character, she would still make it fun unique and memorable. And she wouldn’t be sat there complaining about how she would like to have a few more punch lines in her role.

But i mean would you feel like it's a dream role if you were her ? I mean yeah working with Meryl is a dream job but she had 3 bigger actors than her on that set and she was just a newbie... Nobody wants to be the newbie... Everyone wants to be their dream role where they are the center of everything and the biggest star of the movie... However it did make her and Emily into what they are now and i don't see Meryl where she is without this movie i mean...i watched all her movie but this one is the one that stands out and i will be bitter over the oscar loss for eternity and then some

Anne is sort of like her character of andy in this interview. She knows that a million girls would kill for the opportunity to work with Meryl, but she wasn't ready to compromise herself entirely for a role. In a way she is acting like a brat because she should be honoured of the role, but on the other way she is not putting herself down and wasn't ready to sell her soul for this or any role. She had the right attitude when taking on the role of Andy and she played it to perfection so of course it paid off. Emily was phenomenal, clear and simple. Tucci is such a stupendous actor that he managed to create one of the rare gay characters who doesn't make me want to be straight, Tucci and Ledger, by far the two best actors to portray gay characters, both straight, go figure. I haven't seen one single gay actor portraying a gay character i wanted to relate to, except Franzese as Damian, who was really good. Meryl, well, ... it's Meryl, as someone said, if Meryl was to play you in a movie and you auditioned for the role, she would still get the role, because she can play people better than those people can play themselves. She made wintour interesting, and hell knows there is NOTHING interesting about wintour.

+K- Ainmé Apparently she is hard to work with according to Joseph Gorden Lovett. I guess on Batman set she wanted the whole cast to call her "Ms. Hathaway." She comes off as arrogant and rude. I get annoyed by this interview as well.
