Needle felting is something that looks fun but in practice I found unexpectedly annoying. It also expensive. As I’m probably not the only one who found it annoying, keep your eyes peeled in thrift stores etc for part used kits that people have started and not finished. You can find a surprising amount of stuff that way for next to nothing and at least get chance to try it and see if it is worth saving up for. I thought I’d love it. Two different friends bought me two different kits to try. I hate them both and never finished either. I also tried making stuff at work in a group activity, hated that too. No idea. Seems like it should be fun but I just hate that stabbing motion.

@@drhannibelle Huh? If people want to just try it for the first time and not invest too much, isn't it better to buy the stuff that is already there and cheaper? That's all they said. Doesn't mean everybody else will dislike because they did. I personally like needle-felting, but never bought one of those kits so no idea what they are like.

I just wanted to share a fun story. I recently showed my mum (whose age I will not ~expose~) one of your videos. She loved making clothes and knick knacks when she was younger. Now when we get to hang out and relax, she asks me to put "the woman" up on her TV and quietly hmms to herself "yes" when she agrees with your sewing decisions 😂 and "oh silly" when frodo lies atop your patterns. Every video finishes with "oh that's just gorgeous, she's got the look!" She laughs and has a great time. She told me to let you know that she loves your show. You are her first and only favourite KZbinr! ♥️

It makes me so happy to see how just simply crafting instead of taking on a whole huge project brings you such joy! I love when you add variety to your content ❤️ keep creating !

An absolute delight from start to finish! Thank you for not horribly injuring yourself, the fear of which is the main thing keeping me from trying out this skill.

I enjoy needle felting, but I gave my cats the early pieces to play with and destroy for me instead of storing or throwing them away. Now they think all the felting is for them. They even steal the baggies of wool. They absolutely love them.

This was probably my favorite episode with a guest. Savannah is a riot and the two of you together is beautiful chaos. ❤️❤️ We must have more of this! Oh! Now that you know how to make adorable little critters, you should make a little hobbit mouse for your mouse hobbit hole! Have him smoking some Old Toby from the Southfarthing. Maybe make a little barrel labelled Old Toby. Give him a head of curls.... This sounds too stinking cute, imma stop now lol. 😅🥰

Love your sewing and cosplay videos, but ✨ *screaming with hands in air* ✨needle felting?! You’re amazing! The improvised poetry/songs were just extra sprinkles. 🍩🧁 I use wadded plastic bags and scrap wool to cover the armature because the llama and alpaca fiber I use is hekkin’ expensive (unless you own the critters . . . and then it’s still expensive, actually).

I have been watching your videos for the past couple of years (watching your historical sewing content really got me through those early pandemic days!), and I can safely say that this is my favorite single video that I have *ever* seen from you, Rachel. Just the most impeccable vibes, from the froggy's little bum cheeks right down to his baby jean patches. So sweet to get to watch you and Savannah have such friend fun, too! I hope you always feel free to make videos that bring you delight; they bring so many of us delight, too.
