Nursery Makeover - Part 1!

This is so exciting! In order to keep some of the purple you love for your office, you could either get a shade of purple for the curtains (or even put a purple backing on them so it's inside the closet-office). Or you could get a purple or purple bordered calendar. You could even create a purple backdrop for the new smaller calendar if you love the clear acrylic look).

YAY! It's finally the start of the nursery makeover! :) That's actually a brilliant way to maximize space by moving your office to the closet. :)

Girl I literally did this for my room (my office) back in May (I have a 4 month old baby boy now) and my room was my sanctuary. I loved it. I did my make up in there I had jonas brothers posters in there. It was just me in a space. So it was a lot for me to take that down. But we made it so special for my baby boy. Now when I walk in his nursery I imagine what it was like before and it's so cool the transformation that happened. I can't wait to see what the end result is.

As a mom, I don’t think it ever felt as “real” as when you saw the nursery all put together. ESP some, sitting in your feelings, putting clothes away and diapers. Makes ya tear up a bit. Of course as you use it, it gets trashed easily but it’s such a defining moment of motherhood at least it was for me. Can’t wait to see what happens in this room. We just did our nursery/big boy room for our son (and soon to be little brother) and decided to do a Toy Story theme. Love love love it. Painting will def make it feel even more real.

make sure the curtains are flowy enough for good airflow! it’s hard to think when it gets stuffy. also this is silly but i just wanna be Mom for a sec; i highly recommend a surge protector instead of a normal power strip! ignore this if it already is one i just have ✨anxiety✨and wanna help where i can! super excited to see the full transformation

Loved this! glad you've found a place for your office. Mine in in my living room, and it's lovely but it's hard to relax in here because it reminds me of work. Any chance you could tell me where your desk is from? I'm on the hunt for a standup desk.

I would have put Mario's dresser inside the closet, and your desk where the dresser was. Then he could have kept his clothes hanging in his closet. But this solution works too, and as long as you are happy with it, that's all that matters.

Just curious- where are the clothes that are in the office closet now going? Sounds like those were just moved in there from your bedroom closet, but isn't that the closet for the nursery? Maybe I just didn't understand the explanation lol but I'm so glad you found a solution that works for you!

Yep - we have a ton of drawers for the baby’s things. We only have 2 closets in the house and Mario and I have to put our clothes somewhere lol.
