Are you trying to speak fast English? Are you trying to figure out how Americans speak the English language so fast? Are you fluent in English but trying to increase how fast you speak? I’ve got you covered. In this video you’ll learn to #1 secret to fast English: reductions. Without using reductions there’s simply no way to sound like a native English speaker. And as you start using reductions you’ll immediately feel yourself speaking English faster! In this video we’ll teach you what reductions are and show you how to use them in English. The English language has unique aspects in conversational (vs. written) use. If you’re working toward English conversational fluency then you’ll love this lesson on reductions. They’re what help you speak at the fast pace of English conversation AND they’ll help you increase your conversational comprehension. You can learn how to speak fast English and I can help! Let’s get to it.

As a native American English speaker, I get an absurd amount of guilty pleasure for already being able to speak like this. I also deeply respect all of you guys putting this amount of effort into learning our language! It's hard work, I know, but it'll be deeply rewarding. Keep up the good work! 👏🏼👏🏼

This gives me insight into how non native English speakers have trouble picking up our language. I assume reductions exist in most languages, which would make it difficult for Americans to learn foreign languages. Apparently some professions have their own reductions too. Ever listen to recordings of conversations between pilots, or between pilots and air traffic controllers? This native speaker of English from Indiana is lucky to understand more than a third of the words ! !

Yeah! Liaison 😍 English is my 2nd language but I learned it almost in parallel to my 1st language, so it's much easier for me and a lot of reductions are made naturally, but I am still learning to get more into the sound of American English 😍 In French, being my 3rd language; it's more challenging 😃

@@EngyAmr Probably because in French on top of reductions we also link words, don't pronounce some letters. French can be messy to learn that's for sure 😅

@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylaneI don't have issues with French pronunciation, it's the spoken French, as non-natives we stress a bit, with no reductions. We'd commonly say "je ne sais pas" not "j'sais pas" ..

Hi Rachel. Your videos are very helpful in improving my English. My problem is that I listen to English and I understand, I read and understand but I don't speak English fluently. I don't know where it comes from but when I listen or read English I understand words which I don't remember when I try to speak. Today I watched on KZbin videos of a man who is a pilot of Boeing 747. He talked about avionics, navigation etc. and I think I understood about 90% of what he said but even though I understand it I'm far from speaking English like him. But I try my best and your videos are very helpful. Greetings from Poland.
