Rachel this is one of the most important series of videos I've ever seen in internet. May God bless you because I'm sure thousands of students and teachers of English appreciate your assistance. I have a wide knowledge of vocabularies and idiomatic expressions of English, but now I discovered the reason why I don't understand the language as a native speaker. Thanks.

Ever since 2016, this has been my main go-to channel for pronunciation tips because the rules are described very much effectively and concisely, in fact every rule and almost every important word combinations are covered in seperate videos too ! It's 2023 and still the same channel I go to when I need a quick refresher course regarding such doubts.....

I wrote to you about this guide and that I live in Viet Nam. I have been studying t;his for a long time . .The "t" that the end of a word is often occluded! For example, in the sentence, "I went for a run.", I have learned that it is a very strange phenomenon and recorded such instances by me and heard the speech of others. Americans fill in the "t" in a linguistic motion that allows for that "t" to not even be spoken or occluded. I was not aware of this until teaching pronunciation in Viet Nam and to Russians in the US. This "filling in of the 't' at the end of a word, at times, is not a conscious thing! However, your person repeating this phrase actually said, "I wen{t{ fer a ride." Listen to this! So subtle for an American ear! He is leaves out the "t" at the end of the word "went" when he repeats it! Wow. This was a revelation to me! I learned a lot from teaching my students and even "hearing" myself speak! Take a look and be careful. I know that you will, if you cut your filters in your head (it took me a long time to "get" this, hear that he is actually saying what I am showing you here. I am impressed with your work! You got my other email, automatically answered, of course. Please take a look and contact me if you will. Thank you.
