I think it’s interesting that you don’t need to be certified to work as a medical assistant in Florida. I live in Illinois and medical assistants have to take a 9 month course and take a state test to become certified. I think that on the job training (without becoming certified) is reasonable for a medical assistant though. I used to work as an LPN at a doctors office and the medical assistants did a lot so I’m not downplaying that role. They did about as much as the LPNs did.

I was thinking the same thing!! I am a retired nurse and I can’t even work as a medical assistant in Illinois because I don’t have my medical assistant certification!! Crazy!!! Cuz I NEED A JOB!!!

I decided to binge watch your videos today. 😂 I just applied for a job as a Dermatology tech position Friday night so don’t know if I’ll get it yet. I’m extremely nervous! I only have CNA/HHA experience and college credits. Never worked in an office setting either. Oh my gosh what am I getting myself into?! 😂.
