Where do I find a "Nice Boy"? After 2 abusive marriages I pretty much gave up hope that I would ever find "the one". I realized that after going from a very abusive home from my dad right into 2 abusive marriages that I needed to stop looking for love, and that I needed to do the work to learn how to love myself before I could ever be able to let someone love me in all the right ways, as well as I wanted my daughter to see what healthy relationships looked like. I was a Fire Fighter & Medic for 12yrs, until I was injured in the line of duty, Now i'm stuck in a wheelchair. I've been single now for going on 18yrs. I know that thru depression that got worse after numerous tragedies that we had ro deal with, then it got way worse during Covid. And I've done the work, I still go to counseling (I was told by a wise woman that is a Judge, that she thinks everyone should talk to a therapist, she said who on this earth couldn't use someone to talk to?) I know that i'm ready to meet someone. I just turned 50 a few weeks ago on Jan. 3rd. I just don't see anyone looking to date that is in a wheelchair, even though it will hopefully be short term, but, even if it isn't, I don't need a caregiver, I can function on my own, I own my own home & manage quite well. It feels like it has been a death sentence on any sort of social life. Nobody invites me to go out at all, matter of fact, every single person invited to my 50th birthday cancelled, except for my Daughter, Grandkid's and 1 other person.It really hurt.

It's really fun to see products that are being overhyped to see if they are worth it! That being said, I do want a review to be a true review so in the cases where the directions aren't read, or aren't read at the beginning, it frustrates me a little bit. For whatever reason I actually really like reading instructions as long as they are written well. I took a technical writing class in college and really enjoyed it so I guess I am a specific kind of nerd. 🤣 I only mention it because sometimes I think influencers like Rachel think it's fun to just try something right out of the box and get a total first impression, but I would always want a follow up after that. I've seen influencers discount a product because they don't immediately understand how to use it, but that I know works really well if used properly. So when an influencer has a huge platform, and they don't use a product as intended, they can really de-influence someone to buy a product that might actually be wonderful. Just my two cents. I like this kind of video, I just want a little bit MORE sometimes.

She's pretty good (better than most) about following up if she's wrong about a product or if someone points out that she used/applied it wrong. I also like that she very rarely slams a product, instead saying it doesn't work for her, but might for someone else. I'm with you though about instructions; I hate watching someone struggle with something when they don't read the instructions first.

First of all, Thank, You, So. Much. for not using filters on makeup reviews! You seem to be one of the very few left who don't and it isn't fair because we can't see what the product actually looks like...but I'm grateful to have you & a few others we can trust! Second of all, RACHEL, that lipstain looked GORGEOUS on you! I promise it did! I don't love the matching daisy set shorts BUT the shirt that comes with the daisy set looked very chic and beautiful, the way the fabric idk... hung (?) off you body. Idk how to explain it but that daisy top is very, very flattering on you and would probably look so cute with a simple pair of jeans and few accessories. As always, you are lovely and beautiful, inside and out!

I have the same lip situation as you and I look horrendous in any lip liner. I can only do a bit on center bottom lip and top of cupids. even then has to be a super neutral tone or contour like but like super super light.

I have the sink topper. I love it. I have a round bowl style sink and it fits perfectly. It lives there. I can put my hair tools on it while using and while cooling down. Makeup, my phone, makeup brushes-it has grooves to clean them then holes to stand up and dry or lay down.

Vaseline well take makeup off. I used wear a lot of sweat and water proof makeup in my teens when I showed livestock Vaseline was the only thing that would take off the water proof/sweat proof makeup. Plus it helps dry skin and lips.

Rach, hi! I've been watching you for, like, a year and I love your family vibes. One thing i've noticed though is that you can't get rid of that dark spot where you had a zit near the lip. We have this herbal remedy here in Russia, made of Spongilla (it's a sort of an underwater plant/sponge) - a bit tingly when applied but takes care of such scars in a matter of a couple of weeks. Bruises, too. And smoothes the skin surface in general. Hopefully, you can get it in some form in Canada. We have it sold in pharmacies in gel forms as well as powder that you can mix with water to make a sort of a mushy mask consistency.
