Nino Gvetadze
Born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgian pianist Nino Gvetadze leads a busy international career. Nino received various awards,the most important were the Second Prize, Press Prize and Audience Award at the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition 2008. She became the winner of prestigious Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award in 2010.
Nino Gvetadze has performed with many outstanding conductors such as Michel Plasson, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Michel Tabachnik, John Axelrod and Jaap van Zweden and with orchestras such as the Rotterdam, The Hague, Brussels, Seoul and Netherlands Philharmonic, Bergische and the Rheinische Philharmonie, Münchner Symphoniker amongst others. She went on tour with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, . Kammerakademie Potsdam and Amsterdam Sinfonietta.
Nino recorded 4 solo CDs: Piano works by Mussorgsky (Brilliant Classics), Rachmaninoff Preludes op 23 and op 32 (Etcetera). Two CD’s have been released at the Orchid Classics label: “Debussy” with the Préludes book I, Estampes and Claire de Lune and “Widmung” with Liszt piano works.
Nino currently lives in Amsterdam. Since 2008 Nino plays in "Arosa Trio" with her colleagues Frederieke Saeijs and Maja Bogdanovic.

There are few pianist that are really able to play with amazing technical proficiency, emotion, strength, and sensitivity all in one. Some are better technically, some play more emotionally, some just hammer the piano. Nino is remarkable in that she plays with technical brilliance, captures the true emotion of each piece, strength and sensitivity when the piece calls for it. She is just an amazing musician.

Not as flashy as so many modern musical artists of the classics, but so much more elegant and artistic. Seems to nudge the music in the direction of the mood she wants to express, as opposed to beating the score into submission. I guess finesse is the word I am searching for. I enjoy my days spent with Miss. Gvetadze playing alongside work. Thank you for your sensitive performances, and for the public availability of this performance.

Amazing so controlled yet so much feeling and emotions. I don't criticize the more flamboyant performers if and when they are good, accept them as the way they are we all are different. They give us pleasure and fantastic music with their performances. I can't do what they do so I just totally accept and enjoy them. This performer is truly outstanding.

She plays the Rach op. 3 nr. 3 plays beautifully well without forcing but intensely. She is also a wonderful woman

I must admit I dont know the Moment Musical, she sounds a natural Rachmaninov exponent. The two preludes are superbly played, even the famous C sharp minor sounds fresh and renewed.
