Thought I would share. My mom while she would clean, would take the single socks and put them on the kids hands with a spray of cleaner to have the kids "help". I did the same with my kids - they look back on those days as "the good ol' days" btw thank you for sharing your days with us

Just tip:: when something fell off behind your stove, just remove the bottom drawer.. I can not move my stove completely because of the gas line…but if I have to clean the floor or something fell off I just remove the drawer .. another tip I tried DW-40 for stainless steel and keeps the clean longer ..

Nice video! You're such a busy lady! I'm glad you used oven cleaner. It's much safer now then it used to be. It also works! Brillo Pads! My favorite go to for years when I cleaned my ovens, outdoor grills, etc. FYI: stainless steel needs to be moisturized to look its best and last the longest. Just like wood. My Home-Ec teacher taught us to dry the sink completely. Put a small amount of cooking grade oil ( Olive oil, Canola, mineral... whatever you have is going to work, as long as it's food grade) on a soft rag. Rub it on your stainless steel, going with the grain. That will repel fingerprints and dirt. That's how I cleaned my stainless sinks my whole life and it's always worked. I now use it on my appliances, also works.

Thank you! I’ll have to try that with my steel. 😊

I put both oven racks in a large garbage bag with 1 cup of ammonia. Let that sit overnight outside. The next day, there isn’t a lot of scrubbing. Pretty much, just rinse them off. In your tub I would put down a towel, not to scratch the tub.

Hi Rach, what do you use to clean your cabinets? I have painted cabinets and know I need to be careful with cleaners, but wondered what you do to deep clean the, especially grease on the cabinets above the stove.
@RachPlusFive2 жыл бұрын
I’ve used Mrs. Myers or Method multi surface sprays and those work well. If there’s a large amount of grease, I’ll use a damp rag with Dawn and follow up with a multi surface cleaner. To mop them, I use a tide pod, 5-6 sprays of Dawn Powerwash, and hot water.

Have you found that for the glass top stove top of the Easy Off, Bar Keepers Friend or Scrub Daddy Paste works the best? Thanks!
@RachPlusFive2 жыл бұрын
The Scrub Daddy Paste is my favorite overall but it’s also my go to when I wanted to clean the glass top right away. The EasyOff works fantastic but it needs time to sit and I prefer to use that one if I have lots of issues and have overnight for it to sit. I don’t use barkeeper’s friend on my glass top because it’s more abrasive than the paste or the pink stuff and I don’t want to risk it.

What is the spray bottle brand of the olive oil? Check the top of your stove top with an level. Sometimes when moving them out, the stove gets out of level. Your baked goods will cook uneven and the top will tilt slightly and cook your food uneven.

Is the Dawn degreaser good on cabinets? I passed it last time at the store. Do you like it?
@RachPlusFive2 жыл бұрын
I think it would be good on cabinets BUT it takes a lot to clean it off and wipe it all away so it would take quite a while to do your entire kitchen. To spot clean a cabinet door, sure. 😊
@DS-rm7px2 жыл бұрын
Why did you use Dawn degreaser behind the stove and Method degreaser on it?

The Method wipes off much easier than the Dawn. But the Dawn breaks up grease so much better.
