"Have you got your van key". lol. Here is a tip from my personal experience. Go to a locksmith and get them to cut you a "surf key". This is a key that will unlock the doors , turn in the ignition to unlock the steering lock, but will not start the vehicle as it does not have a transponder chip in the key. These can be relatively cheap ~22 pounds. Take this key and attach it to the underneath of your vehicle somewhere secure and hidden. Under the van where the spare wheel is mounted can be a good option. You can either use a cable tie, magnetic key box, etc.. If you ever lock your key inside the van, this will help. If you ever lose your key while out riding on the trails this will at least get you back into your van to camp, etc.. or even tow the van somewhere close. Otherwise, good luck with the race mate and hopefully you get a safe start.
